26 - Contract Signing

Today will the day we will sign the contract for the resort. I have to admit that the resort has it on its own the essence to succeed. I am positive that this investment would be a success and will put Chandler into more higher level. After the signing of contract Chandler's team would be flying back to the headquarters but I am not happy going back. I beg Zander to come with me or let me stay. He was so adamant to give the two of us space. He wants me think everything over before we make everything official. He wants me to read his letter so I would know his true intentions.

I don't need to do all those things I am sure of myself; I love him ever since and it was only thru my blinding hatred that I was able to start a relationship with Hunter. I was so angry with him before that's why I was able to do all sort of things. Maybe I am at fault for not asking but who can blame me for unknowingly believing all those lies thru the years?

It was always him, never anyone aroused me like he does, I cant even start an intimate relationship with Hunter. Thinking about Hunter, I cant blame him for seeking solace with Aimee, I have been cold since I come back, since I've seen Zander again. But his cheating cannot be rationalized just like that, he could have told me to save both of us so much trouble. Maybe this is what Zander wants me think over, my being pickle mindedness.

I still remember when her aunt knock on us the other day. She wasn't welcoming at all. She is a bit disappointed with Zander in welcoming me back to his life again. I heard her murmuring something to Zander even her tone is like she is reprimanding him. Zander has explain to her lengthily and I saw how concerned she was with Zander. I made people worry about him, I made his life miserable. My heart ache on how much Zander has suffered because of me.

I am preparing my luggage's when I hear a knock on my door. I'm praying it's Zander not Connor. He has been teasing me ever since he knew that somewhat we reconciled, and Zander imposed distance. He would occasionally smirked at me or even give me an eye.

"Wait up!" I shouted as rush to the door. I was welcome with the most beautiful person but why he looks so worried now? He is taking deep breath or more so like panting, like he had ran all the way to me.

"Hey." I hug him as I pulled him inside. I can feel his heart beating so fast. "What wrong Zander?"

"He is back, and he is making a scene out there." He said between pants.

"Who is here?" I asked him

"Hunter is here, and he is going to take you away." He uttered nervously and I can feel that he is shivering. "Don't go out of your room, hell take you away from me again." Zander is almost crying.

"I'm yours Zander, no need to worry. I am always yours." I reassured him over and over.

"I'll stay here with you, I asked for day off. I'll come with you tomorrow when you back. I thought he went back to America already." Zander is blabbering non-stop. Where has my confident Zander has gone? What I have done to him. I ushered him to bed and hugged him and whispered assurance that it will always be him. then my phone ring. He grabbed it, his eyes begging me not to answer it.

"It's Connor." Showing him the screen of my phone, that relaxes him. "Hey bro what's up?"

"Don't come out of your unit. Hunter is here looking for you. If Zander is there don't let him come out. You two stay there until this asshole is gone." My brother told me.

"Zander is here but he is stressed out I don't know how to pacify him." I said to my brother.

"Alright I'll find his cousin and ask him to bring to your unit his medicines." Then my brother end his call.

After a while I heard knocking, I hurriedly peep at peephole to check who was at the door. It was the cutie little guy who brought my clothes the other day. He gave me a pouch and I opened it right away and I gasped when I saw the medicine - they are prescription anti-depressant.

"Is this really his meds? How long has he been taking this." I asked him

"I don't know sir, but he always have that. There is piece of paper with direction inside the pouch." He answered me I cant believe Zander is taking this. What have I done to him?

I said thank you as the little guy left. I roused Zander from his sleep and help him take his medicine. When he was all fine and lucid, I slowly asked him about his medications.

"When did you start taking this meds?" I ask him in my small voice. He just look down at his feet.

"Since you come back when you're not talking to me, getting angry with me, introducing Hunter to me, I become distraught, and I wasn't able to sleep. So I went to the company doctor for consultation, and he gave me that. Then when I went back for follow up check up he increased the dosage since he said I'm depressed of some sort." He explained to me.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry Zander. I didn't mean for this to happen to you. That's why you loose so much weight??" I asked to him, and he just nod at me. I hugged him and tightly. We just cuddled for the most of the day until it was time for the final presentation of proposal and contract signing. Connor called that Hunter was out of the resort already and wont be bothering for good. I didn't bother to ask him about the details. I'm just glad he is gone.

They all gather at the conference hall and excitement is palpable. The conference hall was adorned for a festivities. Buffet table spread of sumptuous full meal. Crisply dress servers, littered the hall offering various tropical drinks. Everyone is enjoying the party.

Both company presented their proposal to meet both side demands. After Shirley presented the project plan there was a loud cheer from the crowd. The owner accepted wholehearted our investment plan and I also accepted their counter plan. It was win win situation for both party.

Everybody is the festive mood, even Connor is joining the merry making but me and Zander is here at the corner, somber, thinking of the days to come being apart. Zander will be the counterpart of the resort to deal with the collaboration which means he will be most likely to stay at the resort while I'll be staying in the headquarters doing another business. Now that we are going to work out on our relationship we have to do it apart. I am glad though that tomorrow he will come with me as need arises for he finalization of the contract signing. I am dreading the time I will face the board member specially explaining to them about Hunter.

I am glad for afternoon flight I could still spend more time in Zander's house, as I spend more time in his house I find it oddly familiar. I have to ask him why there are clothes my size in the guestroom.

"Hey Zander, why do you have small clothes in the guestroom?" I teasingly asked him.

"Oh they are your clothes. I have full wardrobe of your clothes. You can see it where when you open my letter." He answered sullenly. Why did asking him about clothes make him sad. "You should read it without me at your side then after reading it call me." I would always be reminded of that letter.

We spent my last night not in the resort but in his house. We just cuddle the whole night and talk a lot about just anything until we fall asleep. We woke up from the loud knocking of the door. It's the Chandler's team who raided Zander house. I can see they cherished Zander so much. He has been good leader to them that's why they love him.

"How do you feel about the house Noelle?" Miss E asked me. "Its smaller but then..." she just trailed off.

"Its nice Miss E, its comfortable here. I like it so much." I told her. Then I heard Shirley talking with her usual loudmouth.

"Zander this is just a smaller scale of the other one right?" Shirley queried.

"Shut your mouth Shirley, stick it to your guy over there." Zander glared at her for saying something like that.

Then Zander goes near to me to asked me if all my things is ready. He would just be bringing a small bag pack. Connor arrange his car to be ready in the airport and we will be staying over at our house as Connor want us to tell it to our mom about our reconciliation.

"Finally back to Manila again, lets go home Zander." I dragged Zander towards Connor's waiting car.
