Noah's POV:

"Noah, make sure to pick up your phone when I leave, okay?"

"Yeah, got it."

"Sweetie..."

I looked up to see her, "Hm?"

"I've been telling you to not use your sports car in your daily basis, you have a car that I bought for you. You haven't touched it."

"Mom, I don't want it. Just go, just bring me some take-outs later." I continued to tap my phone and didn't bother looking at her again.

I heard her sighed and seconds later, the door slowly closed.

I just took a deep breath and focused on what I'm doing.

After some minutes, I decided to go to bed, it's past 8 already.

I yanked myself onto my bed and stared at nothing for a moment until I finally fell asleep.

But my phone suddenly buzzed at dahil tinatamad at inaantok ako, I didn't answer it.

"Noah!"

"Noah!"

I frown and ignored the voice.

"Noah!"

I sighed heavily and looked at my door where I heard someone calling me, naiinis na tumayo ako at binuksan ang pinto.

I met Maze behind the door where he's all sweaty and there's a mixed emotions on his face.

"What? It's probably 3 in the morning, what's the fuss about —"

"Your mom..."

I froze and furrowed my brows at him.

"What about her?"

Naguluhan ako nang makita ko na nanginginig ang labi niya at mga kamay, he was still panting and soaked in his own sweat.

"A... Accident, she's at the emergency room right now."

Umayos ako ng tayo at tinitigan siya.

"What happened?"

His lips thinned before answering, "The road that your mom took was dark, I saw how she was sent in the ambulance when I was driving pass the same road too — NOAH!"

I didn't look back at him when he called my name, kinuha ko ang susi sa may salas nang may makita ako. After running out of the house, I press the button of the key and quickly look around to see where this key belongs.

"Gotcha." Tumakbo ako papasok sa garahe nang makita ko ang ilaw doon but I suddenly froze when I saw that it was the car that my mom bought for me, instead of hesitating, I quickly climbed in and furiously drove towards the nearest hospital to search for her. I don't even know where she is but I need to find her.

When I finally arrived, I was about to run inside when I saw a familiar man sitting on the stairs outside the hospital. He was looking down while his shoulders are shaking, I unconsciously went towards him. Nang makarating ako sa harapan niya ay tinitigan ko siya.

He's wearing his business suit but it already looks like a mess, his hair is a mess too.

When he finally felt my presence, he slowly looked up to me and when our eyes met, I didn't even know what to feel. I couldn't say anything and just stared at my crying father in front of me.
