Noah's POV:
Right after we entered the building, it was all quiet and dark. Medyo maulap ang langit kaya kaunting sinag ng araw lang ang pumapasok sa loob ng building, we could even hear our own footsteps and its echoes.
I look around as we slowly walk inside, walang tao at hindi maingay. I thought this is where they stay? But where are they?
Huminto ako saglit nang may madaanan kaming isang kwarto, it's big and a but dark too. I squint my eyes a little as I see a big and tall chair - more likely a throne at the middle near the wall, it also looks like it is made of metal. There's no one inside too.
"Noah."
Tiningnan ko si Maze nang tawagin niya ako, he just signalled me to walk behind him. I rolled my eyes and continued to walk with him, I don't even know why we took this way.
"This looks very old, if this is a trap, I'll rip you apart." I said between my gritted teeth.
He sighs, "Please, Noah. Just walk and follow me."
"How can I keep following you if this place looks literally empty - it is obviously empty and eerie! I told you to take me to that goddamn woman, not in this shitty building-"
"State your names."
We both stilled and suddenly stopped walking when 3 men in suits appeared out of nowhere, they're holding some guns and it's all aiming at us. Naguguluhang tiningnan ko ang kasama ko.
"For fuck's sake! Are we really in the right address?!"
"Shh!"
Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin nang patahimikin niya ako, he cleared his throat and faced those 3 men in front of us.
"I apologize for my brother's sudden behavior."
"I'm not your brother." I whispered in bitterness.
"We're here to see your boss, you know my name, right? It's not an urgent meeting, I just want to talk to her as a long-time friend."
One of the 3 men looked at me, "And who's he? People without any connections with our boss is not allowed here, even if it's her friend's relatives."
"Well,"
I frowned at him when he suddenly wrap his arm around my shoulder and tap it multiple times, "I have no business in this place, but my brother here..." he gaze at me for a second before looking at them again. "He's the one who got some important business with her."
"What?" Nakangiwi kong tanong.
"No what, you'll be talking to her." He tightly smiled at them, "So, as her friend, lead the way towards her."
Ilang segundo muna kaming tinitigan ng mga armadong lalaki bago binaba ang mga baril nila, the bald man at the center just signalled us to follow them.
"Whew." Maze sighed and unwrapped his arm around me, tiningnan niya ako.
"Be patient." He said before facing the front.
Inikot ko nalang ang mga mata ko bago tumingin sa tatlong lalaki na nasa unahan namin, they're big and muscular. The two of them got some tattoos while the bald guy at the center has one on his head, I just tsked and caress the tattoo on my jaw.
"So... Why's everyone not around?"
"Boss went to the casino earlier, half of her men guarded her. The other half are at the top floor." The bald guy answered Maze's question.
"And you three? 'Diba kayo ang personal bodyguards niya? Why didn't you follow her too?" Seryosong tanong ulit ni Maze.
"We were ordered to guard the building, Mr. Park."
