Jury's POV:
As for the days and weeks goes by, everything went well. And talking about those thugs who keeps on showing out of nowhere which I actually never knew their intentions towards me, they all disappeared. Well, I can't really say that they completely disappeared, they just stopped popping out of nowhere. Who knows if they'll come back, right?
Speaking of weeks goes by, I could still remember what did my brother's face was showing the time that I came home after hanging out with Maze the whole day. He looked like a strict father who's waiting for his son to go home after partying.
I never actually thought that they'll be planning something like that, I still wonder what they all did after Maze 'kidnapped' me from them.
Napatingin ako sa cellphone ko nang magising ako sa pag-iisip ko, I actually forgot that I'm watching TV. Kinuha ko muna ang remote bago pinatay ang TV, I looked at the wall clock near me and sighed when I saw that it's already 5:30 PM.
Mag-isa nanaman ako sa bahay, hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko alam kung saan pumupunta si Kuya. I still see him painting and meeting some clients but sometimes, he would leave the house without anything related with paintings with him. Hindi ko naman siya tinatanong dahil baka personal 'yon.
I took out my phone and opened it, nang bumungad saakin ang lockscreen ay napatigil ako. I stared at the two messages that I just received, binuksan ko 'yon at isa-isang binasa. It was from different numbers and although it was just a simple messages, wala sa sariling nakipag-talo na ako sa sarili ko.
I sighed heavily as I brush my fingers through my hair tiredly.
Gosh, why?
I pressed both my lips harder as I debate inside my head.
"Fuck." Umiling-iling nalang ako bago nireplayan ang isa sa kanila.
Well, I need to reject one of them. If it's my friends, I will probably do the same.
'Sorry, I actually need to meet up somebody today. Maybe next time? I'll catch up, promise :)'
As I pressed send, dinikit ko nalang ang cellphone sa may dibdib ko at nagbuntong-hininga.
Tumayo ako at umakyat sa kwarto.
After taking a quick shower, I immediately wore a casual outfit and hurriedly went inside my car and went to that place.
Mabilis akong nakarating sa destinasyon ko at bago ako umalis ng kotse ay tiningnan ko ulit ang cellphone ko pero nakapag-tatakang hindi pa rin siya nagre-reply, I just shrugged and stepped outside.
Nang makaharap ko ang malaking gusali ay napaawang nalang nang kaunti ang bibig ko.
Talistair Hotel...
He better have some good reason to make me come here at night.
Noah's POV:
After texting Jury, I wander my eyes around the place. I rolled my eyes when I haven't received a reply for a minute.
"Damn it." I took my phone out of my pocket again and read Chase's text to me an hour ago, he told me to fetch him at the club that he's in. I don't even know why he's there, and why the fuck did he go there without his car?
Pinindot ko ulit ang contact ni Jury at nag-type.
TO: Jury
'I'm at the hotel near my house.'
Akmang ise-send ko na sana 'yon nang biglang nag-black ang screen.
"Huh?" I tap the screen multiple times with my palm, "What the..."
