   Everything became clear in my mind. It was a vivid imagination. I just had to keep falling into embarrassing moments with that guy, because why on earth did he just have to walk out on me, that very moment. To think, he did not even return until I left his bedroom. I didn't even want to think about it, it was low-key embarrassing.

“Will you eat?” Pere walked in and offered me apples.

"Thanks." I politely declined.

She was bubbly today, and it was obvious from her smile. I learned last night that they were back together.

“Are you going to church today?” I chided, and she smiled, knowing exactly what I meant. They do not advise people in love.

He claimed the girl was his sister's friend and had no idea where this theory came from, as he had never made advances on the girl in question, let alone dated her.

"How about your Rejoice?" I asked gunning for a reaction from her.

"She is not speaking to me at the moment. She said she can't be friends with a weakling who doesn't stand by her words.” Pere said her voice down.

“And how does she connect with this dude again?” I asked.

“Honestly it's fraustrating.” She said.

"Next time you think thoroughly, do not just jump to conclusions based on what someone says, there...,"

At least I was free of her constant sobbing and moody demeanor. That guy meant a lot to her, and it was too obvious. In comparison to previous days, the way she lightened up this morning was shocking.

"I just feel like I am not good enough for him. There are so many girls around him, and it is so easy to assume the worst." She explained.

I did not know the guy personally, so I could not pass judgment; I did not know if he was genuine, so I could not relate. The only thing I knew was that Rejoice was not a good friend, and if she did not cut her off right away, she would cry blood. The funny part was that Pere did not want to hear a single negative word about her supposed friend; in her eyes, she was a saint who could do no wrong.

The Rejoice in question only had negative things to say about the dude, and believe me when I say that she had instilled so many doubts in Pere that she had become so gullible. All the negative things I have heard about the dude from Pere have always come from her. Our energies could not match the first time I saw her; she just gave me bad vibes, and it was not because I had formed an opinion about her prior to meeting her.

"Do not sell yourself short." I said this as I searched through my bag for my lip liner.

"Are you going someplace?" She asked.

"Yes, to see my own Nuchi." I chided, and we both laughed.

"Do not mention his name." She smiled.

"Okay, Ma." I smiled. "I am going to see a friend." I paused. "Not really a friend. Just someone I met.” I gave an explanation.
