°ONOME MANUEL •
While I picked up all my essentials from the supermarket, I had a recall of my encounter with him. I never expected him to approach me on the school grounds, of all places. I was taken aback by how he blocked me, which is why I reacted the way I did. Now that I think about it, I realize it was an impolite gesture, but I was too nervous.
The last place I wanted to be seen talking to the likes of him was on school ground. Imagine if my friends saw us talking, Halimah wouldn't care but Aaliyah would. Even that Oti girl must have seen us talking. It was embarrassing enough that I had sex with him, but worse case scenario, I knew deep down that I enjoyed and liked it.
The part I hated the most was admitting that he had been living rent-free in my head since the kiss incident. I kept cringing at my stupidity; it was embarrassing. If we were admitting all our inner thoughts and desires, I liked it.
He was the last person I thought I could ever get sexually excited about. He was not much of anything; he was just a killer body with an innocent face, in the sense that he did not appear to be capable of wrongdoing, but he was all shades of wrong in one, with a very mean and distinct attitude. He was a little nicer to me these days than he had been previously.
I could not stoop lower than I already did. Having something with him was the pinnacle of it. If my parents found out I was seeing a guy, they would be furious because, according to their morals, I was too young to be dating anyone. Worst case scenario, they discovered it was with someone like him, which was a double suicide. This was not supposed to happen.
Pere had been sucking, and I felt like banging her head against the wall, or banging it with his together; by "his," I meant her boyfriend.
She refused to take my advice about confronting the dude, but wouldn't stop sucking, I was enraged.
Slowly, I approached the counter and dropped everything I had on it, greeting the sales representative in front of me. She was a petite girl who looked about two or three years older than me. When I finished emptying everything, my phone started ringing; hesitantly, I checked the caller ID; it was my girl calling, and I had to pick up.
"Hey." I called out calmly and curiously; we had seen each other at school today, and I was wondering what was so important; she would usually just contact me via WhatsApp.
"Are you home?" She asked straight to the point.
"No." I said with no plans or whatsoever going home. "Why?"
I was curious.
"I wanted to come over." She explained, and I noticed her voice was low; she sounded exactly as if she was not okay. "No worries." She added.
"Are you okay?" I inquired curiously.
I noticed she paused a little before responding.
"I am fine. It is just that I miss you and wanted us to hang out." She rushed the final statement, as if she expected me to decline.
