This chapter was supposed to come last night, but network was so bad. I even went as far as updating this app, only to discover everything I edited had cleared. Omoh I had to start from scratch this morning, which took approximately another three hours or two and a half.
That said, enjoy.

°ONOME MANUEL •
Thank God for grace, because only God knows the hospital we would have been in now. Kainye drove into a giant pot hole were he was trying to dodge the reckless car that almost hit ours.
We were currently in a car wash, because of how soiled the car was. It was that bad; the road was so bad, with lots of mud, and it was a white car, so it looked so dirty.
"Honestly, I am so sorry." He just kept apologising as if it was his fault. Technically, it wasn't; it was that foolish driver who almost sent us to an early grave. Imagine what I would have told my parents if I had ended up in the hospital. How would I have started explaining what I was doing in that location and in a car that did not belong to us or was driven by my driver? It was not even a family friend's car."Yo bro, I do not have time," he abruptly told the guy attending to us.
My gaze met his, and I realised I was not seeing things. It was Oreva, and why was he everywhere? He held my gaze, and judging by the look I gave him, he knew better than to approach me.
"Now I need to do some serious maintenance on this car; that driver was lucky I did not get my hands on him. I know how much I spent on this car, and it is only a month old.
It's a GLE,” He hissed.
“Not like he will be able to afford it in ten years, if told.” He pondered.
"I am so sorry." I apologized, while using the corner of my eye to look for him; he appeared to have vanished, as there was no trace of him left.
As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, he asked me to order whatever I wanted. I would be lying if I said I was not starving. I did not get to eat lunch at school; all I had eaten since the morning was cereal.
I asked for the menu, but there was so much going on that I did not know what to order, so I just asked for a milkshake first, while I figured out what I wanted. I was a picky eater, and some of these foods had a lot going on. I will take the carbonara cream pasta; it is delicious, and you should try it."
That was a hard pass for me; I did not enjoy it."I do not like it," I said.
"Okay, but have you tried it before? Try it, dont judge it by the look." he suggested.
"I have, and I do not like it." I replied.
He looked surprised by my statement.
“Damn Onome, you are so pretty.”
I could not hide the shocked oppression on my face as he switched from talking about food to admiring me.
"Thank you," I replied with a smile forming on my face.
"I like you." He said.
Meanwhile, the waiter brought my milkshake and informed us that Kainye's order would be ready soon. I also took advantage of the opportunity to place my order.
