Todoroki had never actually transferred schools, so now that he was doing just that in his second year of high school, he was beyond nervous.
It was a month into the school year, too, so that just added on to how nervous he was to move.
It was good for his mom, though.
She'd gotten a job opportunity at UA, so moving here was not going to be bad.
UA had dorms, though, which was kind of weird, but understandable given what happened with the kidnapping.
Todoroki was also nervous because he would be transferring into that class, and since they all went through that and more together, Todoroki figures that having a new person come in would mean he would be left out.
He was not a social person. Never speaking more than a few words at a time. He just didn't always feel like talking and who said talking was normal anyway?
Todoroki had already met his homeroom teacher and the principal. His mom would be the vice principal, so he thinks it's safe to say that he'd met the vice principal, too.
Man, he was also kind of excited to get started at UA.
This school was the most elite school in Japan. They even have All Might teaching here. Sure, he's all bony now, but he was the number one hero for decades.
He's probably really old and wrinkled up close, Todoroki thinks.
As they get the last few things set up, Todoroki tugs at his tie in the middle of the hallway outside of the principal's office.
Todoroki hadn't gotten to meet any of his classmates yet, but he had gotten his stuff set up in his assigned dorm room, and they ended up putting him in the empty room next to the explosive, loud blond one.
Bakugo was his name.
He was very well known for having gotten kidnapped by the League of Villains for three months.
According to the press, the months with the League of Villains had "extremely" changed the blond, making Todoroki kind of feel really bad for him and his class.
Considering how close they seem, the kidnapping must have disrupted all of them tremendously.
The bond they created because of that must be great.
Todoroki is kind of worried that there won't be a place for him in the class.
"You ready?" His mom asks.
He puffs out a breath of air and nods, following her and his new homeroom teacher.
Mr. Aizawa was cool.
Todoroki liked him.
On the way to his new classroom, he grips the strap to his bag nervously.
Before he knows it, he's in front of the class next to his mom and teacher.
"This is the new student. His name is Shoto Todoroki. Don't be weird, guys. Now, let's let him to introduce himself," the man says, gesturing to Todoroki.
The teen steps up and bows slightly, looking around the class, meeting the eyes of so many other teens who look excited. How weird. "He already said my name, but I hope to get to know you all and I'm eager to work together."
Several hands go up and he's caught by surprise because he didn't know that they'd have questions.
Also that he had to be the one to answer those questions.
He doesn't know if they're for him or for the teacher, so he looks back at the man who nods at him.
Oh. Okay, they're for him.
