He wakes up not long after, body feeling somewhat stronger, but his exhaustion is through the roof. It feels impossible to even sit up, watching Todoroki walk to the door to let Recovery Girl in.
She's careful, but talks about the League's capture. Giving details since she knows more because of Mr. Aizawa.
It relaxed Bakugo as she gives everything he has questions about. The only thing that he's still worried about, though, is Mr. Aizawa. He wants to see in person that he's okay and not hurt.
"You're probably feeling weak because of the sudden increase of shock before it completely calmed down. It usually happens to people with high levels of stress, especially trauma. You just feel safe now so your body is telling you to catch up on the relaxation you've been missing."
Okay.
He just nods, getting back under the covers when she's done looking over him.
"Just rest now, okay? You're safe."
He believes it wholeheartedly this time.
The League is gone.
Finally.
He falls asleep again to the sound of Recovery Girl and Todoroki talking. He's safe.
When he wakes up, it's the next day. That's what Todoroki tells him, anyway.
His boyfriend helps him get ready, or at least a little clean before they go down to eat. He can't shower. Doesn't feel like it and feels disgusting for not doing so.
Todoroki doesn't push him, and even tells him it's okay. Some things are harder than others and it's okay sometimes. He hands Bakugo his pills and tells him that Recovery Girl had stopped by earlier to give them to him.
"You don't even have to eat if you don't feel like you can. Just some crackers? I don't want you to upset your stomach and crackers should help. Yeah?"
Bakugo nods, not really feeling up for anything, he just scratches at his stomach and holds onto the item in his hand. He follows Todoroki like a lost dog and sits there as Todoroki makes something to eat. "You think you can eat some fish?"
His stomach lurches at that and he rests his head on his arms on the counter, shaking his head no.
Todoroki then slides over a sleeve of crackers. "Eat what you can. Even if it's just one. If not, that's okay. Do you want water?"
The blond nods.
There aren't many people around. With the cancellation of classes, he doubts people will be up early, but his comfort item still resides hidden in the pocket of his hoodie where he reaches for it every now and then. Just to calm down.
At least there's no one in the kitchen.
Todoroki moves around, making food for himself and not pushing Bakugo any further, taking his pills with the ice water Todoroki gave him.
The blond is thankful for that. He likes just being around Todoroki as he does whatever he does.
"I'm gonna workout later and do some work, you wanna come? You can just help me perfect my form. Yeah?"
Obviously he does.
He nods, still not looking up.
He has to eat, through. Just a few crackers. He can't let it get bad again. So he takes a deep, shaky breath and sits himself up.
Five. At least eat five, he tells himself.
No one is there to hurt him and the people that did before are in prison. They're not getting out. They're gone.
