Xenia tried to seem astounded but she failed. After what she'd just seen - what she'd been through, the sister didn't feel like pretending. She didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment but she knew her secret would have to come out - sooner or later. Xenia just hoped she could keep it to herself for a little longer.

If anyone found out, her life would be over. Xisuma was her brother - he trusted her and she trusted him but Xisuma couldn't know. Xisuma looked at her in concern and she felt guilty for the concern. Xenia didn't want to keep absolutely everything to herself. Some of it could be shared with the innocent soul in front of her.

'If only he knew...'

Xenia used to trust Xisuma with everything but now, after the incident of Xisuma leaving her, the female Watcher wasn't so sure. Even a week ago when she was hiding in a cave, she had nightmares. Nightmares of Xisuma joining the Voidwalkers and turning against her. As though the whole army was a wave, led by Xisuma, coming after her...

She knew it wasn't real and she didn't want to believe it but it was there. The small feeling - a nagging sensation dancing in her head, tauntingly singing at her as though it was challenging her to give up and attack everyone around her right there and then. But she didn't want to. Looking at her brother, she wished she could have kept him safe from what was to come.

Xenia tried to sit up but as soon as she did, pain flared all throughout her body. She winced and Xisuma rushed to help her lay back on the bed. "I'm fine," she muttered "No need to fight my battles for me." Xisuma shook his head "Xia, please. You've literally just died and I don't mean in a normal Minecraft way."

Why did the phrase 'no need to fight my battles for me' sound so familiar. It was as if something clicked. "I can handle it myself, Xaphan. No need to fight my battles for me." It was years ago. Xisuma sighed as Xenia struggled against him to sit up right. "Okay," she said, giving up due to the exhaustion slowly taking over her.

"Xisuma, can we talk?" she asked finally "I mean - alone?" Stress looked skeptical but Xisuma nodded and she left. "Xisuma, I wanna know something. How many Hermits distrust me?" Xisuma thought for a minute then he started counting on his fingers as he said the names one by one.

"Doc doesn't. He's made that clear. Hmm," Xisuma paused, wondering whether there were more "Neither does False. Iskall is slightly suspicious but overall they're ready to help." Xenia nodded. "Also," she said "I - I saw mom. She said there was a final battle which I have to fight." Xisuma looked surprised "Well, you're not fighting it alone."

Xenia smiled, glad she wasn't on her own. It would be much easier knowing she wasn't running into a suicide mission herself. "Thanks, Xisuma." Maybe she had time. Maybe her world wasn't collapsing before her eyes and even if it was, she had friends to help her through. She had one thought running through her head: 'I'm not alone.'

At least she had time before she completed her task.

Totally didn't write this during class. *Laughs nervously* Anyway, anyone other than me who thinks the song 'Play' fits perfectly for Xisuma and Xenia?
