Grian's memories felt glitched. As though they were being changed, modified to the will of someone else. In Evo, he'd have random panic attacks although nothing happened to trigger them.
When he'd recover, he felt unsure of his past. Little did he know what the purple mist did. Grian would wake up every morning and feel disoriented. He felt hatred towards his own kind and he didn't know why.
Xenia hadn't been affected by the mist because she had a shield up at the time but she certainly noticed change in the Facility. Zena was becoming more commanding, Zatin had been plain cruel and the Watchers killed more and more.
They were becoming more and more hating and Xenia hated Watchers. What had they become? The ancient bloodline passing down - generation by generation. They used to be noble, they used to be caring, they used to gift.
And now what were they?
They were killers, they were uncaring and they tortured. Xenia didn't know what was going on at Evo but she would find out soon.
Back at Evo, Grian didn't know what was happening. Zatin was extremely demanding and wanted a gift for every time he took them through versions.
Grian was confused and his friends were slightly annoyed now. He would occasionally be bombarded with questions and stress was killing him. He didn't mind for long but he knew something was wrong. He'd regret it later but he ignored it and let his memories take over him.
Within a few weeks, the mist had convinced him what Voidwalkers had convinced most players, they'd flipped the board. If they were able to convince Grian, it wasn't hard to believe they could convince players. The members of Evo knew something was wrong but they shrugged it off because the Watchers were being more and more demanding.
Then something terrible happened.
Grian was having a normal day - as normal as his life could be - laughing and joking with his friends. He felt an odd chill in the air, quite odd because he was in a green area.
A dark shadow clouded his vision and all those around him. He panicked and spun around, nearly hitting Pearl in the face. "Watch it!" she yelled. Pearl and Taurtis were experiencing the same as Grian and like him, were tricked into believing.
The rest of them were panicking because their torches weren't working. Back at the Facility, Zatin watched with glee as the Evolutionists tried to fix the problems. Grian had his admin screens up but he was unable to do anything. As he confessed years ago - he didn't know how to 'admin' but Zena did and she was abusing that to the fullest.
Xenia watched in horror as the Watchers played with the settings, knowing they would do something worse - much worse. They had the power to rip servers apart but they never used it in the past. Although Xenia was sure they would stoop down to that. She'd recognized the spell when it was cast but she couldn't do anything about it.
The young girl could only watch as Zena's voice rang through the air, threatening them all. She wanted to cast darkness over the place, she wanted to cause chaos, she wanted to kill.
She wanted to destroy the Evolution SMP.
And that was Chapter 10! Whoo! I didn't discontinue this yet and I probably won't. You all know what Evo's destruction means - Grian's going to Hermitcraft soon! Yay! But why can't I stop the angst?! I promise I'll give Grian a break. When the nether freezes over-
