Chapter 1

<Years later>

Xelqua dashed along the seemingly endless passageway and took a turn. He needed some resources to finish a certain build and didn't have them. Although there was no need to run, he just had an urge. 

He turned a corner and ran headlong into Zena, who was holding a stack of books in her hands. "Watch where you're going, klutz." She muttered as she bent down. "Sorry Zena!" sniggered Xelqua as he bent down to help her. "What were you doing in such a rush?" she asked, picking up the last of her books and accepting the books Xelqua gave her. 

Xelqua looked sheepish as he ran his hand through his dusty-blonde hair. "I was... getting resources" he muttered, hoping Zena hadn't heard him, but she did.
"Resources? Come on Xel, don't run into other people ok?" Xelqua sighed and nodded. He walked with his head down but as soon as Zena was out of sight, he broke into a run again.

He ran so fast, the paintings on the walls seemed to be blurred, his feet moving so fast, he could barely hear the sound his shoes were making.
He dashed down another passage and burst out into the main center where the ceiling was high enough to fly. He began to fly but was caught on something. Xelqua looked down in annoyance but his face brightened when he saw what - or who - it was.

"Xelena!" exclaimed Xelqua as he flew lower to greet her. "Hello Xel!" she said back as Xelqua hugged her in greeting. "How have you been?" he asked. She made a gesture which told Xelqua that she doing good. 
"Seen Zanix anywhere?" he asked her. "Actually, yes. He wanted to call you to his room. Says he wants to do something fun."

Xelqua shrugged and followed her to Zanix's room. As they reached they saw Zanix sitting on his bed, a wide grin spread across his face. 
"What is it, Zan?" asked Xelqua, his curiosity mounting with every passing second.

"Well" he started, now pulling out a box full of tiny pieces of paper. "I thought we could give each other nicknames. Maybe we pull out random pieces of paper, rearrange them and see what we can make."

"That's an interesting idea" mused Xelqua "What about you Xelena?" Xelena nodded in excitement.
Xelqua pulled out five pieces and read them out out loud. "N, I, G, A, R. What can I do with N, I, G, A, R?"

"No idea" laughed Zanix as he pulled his own out. "S, T, A, R, U, T, I?"

All three of them laughed as Zanix got to rearranging his own pieces and he watched the potential 'Nigar' do his.
"My turn" said Xelena, barely able to suppress a laugh. She pulled them out and they were just as random as Zanix and Xelqua's.

"L, R, P, A, E?" she asked looked at the pieces in disbelief.

"I think  got something!" said Xelqua excitedly. "Grian!"
The other two looked at him as Zainx yelled "Hello, my name is Taurtis!" All of the burst out in fresh peals of laughter.

"Pearl sounds good..." started Xelena.
The three friends looked at each other. No doubt they were gonna call eachother with these new found nicknames.

"I wonder what we can do for Lixar..." started Taurtis as Grian and Pearl had a look of mischief glimmering in their eyes.
All of them laughed and told jokes as the build Grian was supposed to do slipped right out of his mind.

A/N: Ahhhh 
This was so damn rushed. Anyway...
I have a plot line in mind (But I'm not gonna say. For several reasons.) 'How are you all liking the book so far?
