Grian turned around to face the figure, a light smile tugging at his lips. "Hello, Sam. lovely weather for a stroll isn't it?"
"Yes," growled Sam "Lovely."
"Let's cut to the chase" said Grian. "Red or blue?"
Sam looked confused. 'Red or blue?' "I know what you did Gree-on." said Sam, looking at the considerably smaller one. "I also happen to know your secret."Grian looked quite scared. But this spell of fear was gone, as quick as it had come. "What are you talking about? Did the magic mess with your brains or something?"
"Don't pretend." said Sam dangerously. Then, as quick as a flash, Sam's expression went blank. It was Grian's turn to look confused. Sam spoke again, his voice soft. To an outsider, Sam would have looked kind and caring but Grian knew better. This is the exact same voice Sam used whenever he would address Grian as 'Taurtis.'
"Now, Taurtis, time for a little game now isn't it." Grian had lost it. "YOU DARE CALL ME TAURTIS?! YOU DARE ACCUSE ME OF HIS DEATH?! YOU DARE DO THIS?!" Grian was now breathing heavily. "Take one more step, Sam and I'll give you more scars than you ever could give me and Taurtis combined." he said dangerously.
"Come on Taurtis, you must be tired. Come with me, we'll play some more games. That sounds nice, doesn't it?"
Grian looked outraged and forced at the same time. "No"
Oh, and how he loved the chaotic aftermath of that word. Only two letters but it had such an impact. Sam looked like he wanted to burst, to mutilate Grian, right there and then but he resisted. "Let's go, Taurtis."The way he spoke was odd, like he didn't want to emphasize on the word 'Taurtis'. It sounded as though he wanted to but he couldn't.
"Like I'd ever come with a psycho like you." spat Grian, every syllable laced with fury. "I know what you did, you know what you did."
"And what did I do?"
Grian was angrier than ever, if looks could kill, Sam would be dead a hundred times over.
"WHAT DID YOU DO? WHAT DID YOU DO?! OH I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE YOU KILLED OUR FRIEND, MADE IT LOOK LIKE I KILLED HIM AND THEN YOU PRETEND YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU DID!"
Sam looked taken aback. "I did all those things? I don't remember them at all." Sam started twitching. Grian knew Sam wanted to kill him. In fact Grian wanted Sam to try because at this point, he was happy to be who he was.
Instead Sam was stalling. For what reason? What was the need to stall? Sam could kill him there and then... but he didn't. What Sam didn't know, Grian didn't know, both of them would regret not killing each other.
'Re-spawning is off' was the only thought rushing through his head. 'But I'm a Watcher, I should re-spawn. Right? Sam isn't a Watcher. I've never seen him around.'
Sam couldn't resist, he lunged forward, knife in hand. But Grian was ready. He pulled a sword which shone dangerously with enchantments.
"I'm ready"
