They gave us the news. "A trooper found something in the, uh.. water that's at the quarry. Our working theory right now is that Will.. crashed his bike, he made his way over to the quarry and, uh.. accidentally fell in. The earth must have given way." I couldn't believe Will was gone. My best friend. I didn't notice how much I was crying until Jonathan hugged me. He let go of me to comfort mom. I stopped listening to everyone. I ran to my bedroom, and grabbed my walkman and played 'Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy', By Queen.

"Will? Will!" I yelled, running towards him yelling for help.
"Y/N! Please help me. I'm so hungry and cold. I want to go home! Please hurry and find me!" He pleaded to me. I kept calling his name and searching for him, until I came up to a cliff. I saw Will standing there, looking off the cliff.
"Will?" I asked him as I started walking closer. He looked back at me.
"Stop! Don't come any closer, please." He begged.
"No, Will. It's me, Y/n. Your big sister." I told him as he stepped back to the cliff's edge. I stopped moving. "Will? Could you please step away from the edge? You're safe, I'm here." He looked at me and shook his head.
"No, no one's safe." He said as the ground underneath him fell. I jumped to grab his hand. Our fingers brushed each other. I didn't make it in time.
"Will!" I yelled as he plummeted.

Suddenly, I jolted awake from Jonathan trying to wake me. "Y/n, it's time to get up. Wake up." I exhaled and looked at him.
"What?" I looked at him, still shaken up.
"We have to go see Will." He replied to me. I wiped my eyes and sat up.
"Yeah, I'll be up in a minute." I told him as he walked out of my room. I laid my head back down and started thinking about my nightmare. It felt so real, but it wasn't. I got enough strength to get up and change to get ready. Soon after, all three of us left the house. We three finally arrived at the station. Part of me needed to see him for closure, but another part of me really didn't want to believe that is Will. I kept biting my cheek, so I wouldn't cry. We all got out of the car and headed into the station. A doctor escorted us through the hallway to the autopsy room. The doctor led us into a small room, with a table and some chairs under a window. He motioned us to sit down. I sat on the right end, with Jonathan in the middle. When I looked up through the window, that's when I saw it. There was a doctor standing over a table with a blue tarp over it. It instantly hit me what that was. I looked over to Jonathan and he locked eyes with me for a second. He reached down and grabbed my hand and gave me a reassuring nod. I looked back up to the window and I squeezed his hand as hard as I could. The doctor then moved his hands to uncover it. It felt like my heart stopped. It was... Will, my little brother. I couldn't breathe in that small room, I stood up, letting go of Jonathan's hand and ran to the waiting room. I saw Hopper sitting there. I almost fell over my own feet making my way to a chair. I could finally breathe. I was a mess. I felt a hand on my back and I shot my eyes up to whoever touched me. I was surprised to see Hopper there. He looked at me with a sympathetic look. I just dug my head into his shoulder and cried. He just hugged me back, comforting me. We stayed like that for a couple minutes, with him rubbing my back in a circle. I finally broke off from him and gave him a thankful smile, "Thanks, Hopper." which he returned. I looked over to notice Jonathan sitting a seat from him. I sat there with my knees to my chest, looking at the bracelet. I toned out their conversation, thinking back to my memories of Will.
My head shot up as I heard the coroner yell, "Ma'am!" I saw Mom rushing out of the room. "Ma'am, I need you to sign!"
"I don't!" She interrupted the guy. "I don't know what you think that thing is in there, but that is not my son!"
"Joyce, wait a second." Hopper tried to calm her down.
"No!" she said as she started to walk out of the building. I got up from my seat. "Mom?" I started to follow her out, while the guy yelled for her. Jonathan grabbed his coat and followed. We kept trying to get her attention over and over, but she just ignored us. She started to walk away from the car onto the sidewalk. Jonathan grabbed my arm.
"We can catch up to her in the car." I just nodded. We sped walk back to the car and back to Mom. Jonathan gave up honking at her and pulled over. "Stay here, I'll get her." He told me and he got out of the car. I watched him run over to her at the crosswalk. I couldn't tell what they were saying, but what I saw looked like they were arguing. Soon after, she walked in the opposite direction of him and he was still yelling. There was a crowd of people watching. What nosy ass people. Jonathan started to walk back to the car and got in.
"What happened?" I asked him.
"She believes he is still alive and living in the lights. She's shutting back down on us." He sighed. "I don't want him to sit in that place for another day. I'm going to a casket shop to pick out one for him. Are you going with me?" He asked as he cranked the car.
"Of course I am." I answered. He looked over to me and back to the road and started to drive to the casket shop. I still couldn't believe Will was gone. It feels like a terrible nightmare I can't wake up from. I unconsciously started to hum Will's favorite song, 'Should I Stay or Should I Go'. I watched the buildings go by as we passed by. Shortly later, we finally arrived at the casket shop. We both got out, went inside and started to look through them. A guy came up to us to help with finding the right casket for Will.
