Season 1, Episode 1
'we only see each other at weddings and funerals'

Rose sat, legs crossed, on the couch in the large sitting room, surrounded by what was left of her dysfunctional family, minus Klaus who was fumbling around at the bar. The awkward and cold atmosphere contrasted with the raging fire and cosy seats that they were sitting on but nobody was brave enough to break the silence first. Well, other than Luther who seemed to have appointed himself as their leader once again. That man really needed to get his main character complex checked out by a licensed professional.
"Um... I guess we should get this started." He stood awkwardly "So, I figured we could have a sort of memorial service in the courtyard at sundown."
Rose scoffed and glanced down at her hands, fiddling with the ring on her left hand. The ring was a cold silver and shaped like an octopus tentacle wrapped around her finger. A gift Ben had given her a long time ago.
"Say a few words, just at dad's favourite spot." That caught her attention.
"Dad had a favourite spot?" Allison asked, it seemed everyone else was just as confused.
"You know, under the oak tree." Everybody looked at him shocked, "We used to sit out there all the time. None of you ever did that?"
"Will there be refreshments?" Klaus made his way to the couch, twirling as he went. "Tea, scones? Cucumber sandwiches are always a winner."
"What? No. And put that out. You know dad didn't allow smoking in here."
"Get over it Luther." Rose retorted from her place on the couch.
"Is that my skirt?" Allison asked Klaus and he spun around gesturing wildly.
"What? Oh, yeah this. I found it in your room. it's a little dated, I know, but it's very breathy on the bits." He collapsed next to his sister on the couch, leaning into her slightly.
"Listen up. Still some important things that we need to discuss, all right?" Luther interrupted once again.
"Like what?" Diego asked, knowing full well what he meant.
"Like the way he died."
"And here we go." Rose sighed, leaning further into her seat.
"I don't understand. I thought they said it was a heart attack." Poor sweet Vanya.
"Yeah, according to the coroner," Luther replied.
"Well, wouldn't they know?
"Theoretically."
