'The Day That Was'

WEDNESDAY. 8:15 am
(...again)

"Hold on. Hold the phone." Klaus interrupted, raising a hand. "Ae all died fighting this thing the first time around. Remember?"

"Klaus, shockingly, has a point. What gives us a win this time?" Diego asked.

At that exact moment, there was an extremely loud clap of thunder and the room filled with blue static electricity. The blue light faded quickly and a small body fell from it, collapsing face down onto the bar. It was five. The boy was laid on top of a briefcase and he seemed to be clutching onto it for dear life. He was covered in what seemed to be blood and dirt and his arms were littered in bruises.

"Je- Jesus!" Allison exclaimed in fright, stumbling backwards away from the commotion.

"You guys, am I still high, or do you see him, too?" Klaus asked, somewhat joking and somewhat serious.

"Five, where have you been?" Luther demanded and Rose couldn't help but roll her eyes at his lack of care for their brother.

The small boy groaned in pain and began to roll onto his back. Rose immediately saw how he was going to fall off of the table and instantly jumped to her feet, rushing over to his side. She caught his shoulders just before he fell to the floor and Allison helped her lift him upright so that he could jump to his very unstable feet.

"Woah. Slow down, lil guy." She said as she helped him to his feet.

"Are you alright?" Allison asked him softly.

"Who did this?" Luther butted in angrily.

Five, now stable on his feet, ignored all of their questions and demands and walked forward to snatch Allison's coffee out of her hand.

"Irrelevant." He stated simply before downing the entire cup of caffeine. He then took a deep breath before spinning around to face them. "So, the apocalypse is in three days. The only chance to save our world is, well, us."

"The Umbrella Academy." Luther stated with a nod of his head.

"Yeah, but with me, obviously." Five stated matter-of-factly and Rose snorted at Luther's offended expression. "So if y'all don't get your sideshow acts together and get over yourselves, we're screwed. Who cares if dad messed us up? Are we gonna let that define us?"

Klaus shook his head at Five's 'inspirational' words and Rose nudged him with her elbow.

"No. And to give us a fighting chance to see next week, I've come back with a lead. I know who's responsible for the apocalypse." Five continued his speech before reaching a hand into his pocket. He pulled out a small slip of paper which was folded in half and stared at it for a few seconds. Allison took a step towards the boy and outstretched a hand. He didn't hesitate before placing the slip into her hand.
