'Number Five'

It took a short while for Rose to calm herself down after Five's interrogation. She had been contemplating whether or not to hunt Five down and slam his head into a wall for bombarding Klaus with questions like that. But, she restrained herself.

She sighed heavily and lifted herself up from her seat on the end of Klaus's bed, dropping the shirt clasped in her fist as she went. Rose took one last look at their room and sighed again at Klaus's t-shirts, old comics and just general trash strewn across the floor, before turning on her heel and walking out of the room in a huff.

Rose took her time wandering the hallways of their old family prison, humming to herself as she went. With no destination in mind, she crept down the stairs slowly and found herself face to face with two of her brothers.

"I'm not giving you a ride." Diego sternly told Klaus.

"Oh come on man," Klaus threw his arms in the air, frustrated. "You know I can't drive."

"I don't c-" Diego began, but quickly stopped again when he stuttered and was unable to finish his sentence.

"Okay, great. I'll just get my things. Two minutes." Klaus smiled at Diego, completely void of humour, patted him on the shoulder and quickly exited the room. Diego sighed but didnt retaliate.

"Hey." Rose whispered, deciding to make her prensesnce at the bottom of the stairs known.

"Oh god- not you as well." Diego exclaimed, "You know I have so many, so many better things-"

"No you don't." She cut him short, hopping down from the step she was on and made her way over to him with a small smile.

"Is Klaus okay? He seems... off"

"No - I don't know, he," Rose spoke, her voice laced with anxiety. "Something happened to him, I don't know what and it's killing me. And he-" Her voice rose and shook with fear and Diego looked down at her with worry. Without another word, he pulled the smaller woman into a tight hug and she struggled not to cry and collapse into his chest, opting to sigh instead. No matter how much of an arse he could be, Diego cared for Rose and her twin and she knew it. He was there for Klaus a few times in the past when Rose couldnt be, whether it be an overdose or to lend him some money for food, and since they had come back to this shithole he had been kind to them. Well, as kind as Diego could muster.
