"I just don't like it." Kassvin said to the Ladies. "Simple as that."
"You know, I was really scared of water as a kid because I fell into a lake when I was little. Adressing my trauma helped me a lot." Miiko said to him. Huang Hua just smiled kindly to show her support.
"Thing is, ima'iie, I don't have any trauma and I'm not afraid of water. I'm scared of not knowing what's bellow, water being added to it just makes it a lot worse." He stirred his warm tea, shivering with the cold air at the nape of his neck, It's starting to become a problem. Maybe he should get a scarf.
"Well, there must be a reason why you feel so afraid!" The Feng Huang leaned over and took another ginger cookie from the platter. "Do you think that maybe you don't remember?"
"That's a possibility. Although, I remember that I used to have a sister named Midas. She died in a flooded glacier cave. I used to have nightmares as a small kid that I was stuck under ice and all I could see was darkness underneath, maybe her death got to me."
"That's terrible!!" Miiko said. "I can't imagine how hard it must have been!"
"I can't either, she died before I was even born. Although, I'm told that I resemble her." He took a sip. "I'm so sad for my mother, she's lost not only her first born, but also her youngest. I don't know if my family can go on living with another lost youth."
The solemn silence in his dining room wasn't broken for a second or two until someone knocked.
"I'll be right there!"
Kassvin stood up to open the door, and Hua donned her cloak to avoid getting noticed. She's a sneaky woman.
"Ah Chrome! Hi!"
"Hi, I'm going to visit a relative of mine for a few days and I just wanted to say goodbye!"
"Oh really? Want some snacks for the journey?" He nodded with an adorably excited smile. The blavian went to his little kitchen, grabbed a handful of ginger cookies and gave them to the boy who put them into his batyu. (Please don't kill me I have no idea what the english word for that is)
They waved goodbye and the little wolf went on his way.
"He left!" Kass yelled. Just as the the first deep rumble of thunder made itself heard in the distant grey clouds. "Poor kid." He muttered.
"Allright!" She took the cloak off. It was completely unneccessary in the end. "Maybe we should switch to a more light topic!"
"Indeed, that would be great. It would do me wonders in the gloom." Miiko smiled at Kassvin. "How have you managed to woo Valkyon of all people??"
"You're not gonna like my awnser." He sat on the antique chair.
"Whatever, say it!"
"I literally can't remember." He laughed deviously as she got visibly frustated. "Why, am I that repulsive?"
"No, I wouldn't say that. He's just not fameous for having long relationships. They usually last for one or two hours and he leaves before they wake up. Ya know." She took a sip like she didn't just drag him through the dirt.
"Oh, well... That's interesting. I didn't know."
"Yes, it's highly unlikely that you take a walk around the city of El and not walk past someone who had his hair in their bathroom drain at some point." Hua said, she didn't aknowledge the third degree burn either.
"Oh my!" He tried not to laugh. "Well that is certainly interesting, very very interesting!"
"Yes, at least that staid the same." Their expression became a bitter in a heartbeat. "Do you know about..."
