Luz pov
I hadn't planned on Amity inviting me to hang out with her, let alone with her friends, I cringed at the very thought of it. "Ughhh, what have I gotten myself into?" Eda poped her head in, "Whatever has you acting like that?" I turned over my head at the bottom of the couch, just dangling off "Amity asked me-"

I didn't get to finish my sentence when Eda interrupted, "To go out with her? "Dang that was fast." I just looked at her oddly. "Eda, she asked me to hang out with her. And she's bringing her friends along, I don't know anyone besides my friends back home." Eda had sat next to me. "Well, kid, you have to start somewhere. The principal said you aren't doing much talking to anyone." She said looking over at me.

I crossed my arms and said, "It's not my fault all of the people there are idiots." She flicked my head, "Not all the people there are idiots, you just have to find the right crowd." I looked over to see her looking at Raine. "Hey, Rainestorm!"

They came over, "Yes, what is it?" They looked from me to Eda then at me again. "Judging by your posture, I feel as though you're wanting my opinion on whatever matter this is. Am I correct?" We both nodded, watching as they sat down. "How can I be of service? I'm all ears."

Eda then pointed at me, "Luz here believes that she shouldn't try and make friends at Hexide because they are, and I quote, all idiots." This made them laugh. "I mean she isn't wrong, some of them are, but you are right too. Luz, It isn't healthy to do things all on your own, make some friends or at least try and give someone a shot." They paused for a moment "I am not forcing you and neither is Eda, but maybe just shutting those around you out isn't the best of ideas."

I took in what they had said, nodding my head and hearing a knock at the front door, "well who could that be?" I felt my stomach turning. "Amity." Raine looked at me. "So you're already making friends? Eda, why was this conversation even needed when she's already making friends?" I smirked, looking over when I heard, "Oh no you don't young man, we don't answer the door until we are 7" watching as Amity walked in Albert pouted as Eda  welcomed her inside. "Hey Luz." Amity said, smiling. I waved, getting a message from my mom, still in the position I was in "Hey Amity." I hadn't noticed that her friends had walked in but I did now. "So one day of you being next to each other and already wanting to hang out with us." I groaned. "I didn't suggest you coming. She did" I said, still on my phone. "Um Luz? Can you stop poking my cheek please? " I took my hand off "This was your idea?" The girl, who I know was named Willow, said

Amity just nodded. "She isn't going to make friends on her own." I rolled my eyes and went to flick her in the head but decided that wouldn't look the greatest in front of Eda, mainly because that's what her and Raine do to one another when they've said something to annoy each another.

I flipped myself over, landing on my feet. Well, somewhat, going to my room, I heard someone follow me. It was Willow. "So let's cut to the chase. What's with you and Amity?" I rolled my eyes, "I have no idea what you're talking about." This made the girl lean against my door frame, "Just please don't hurt her." I nodded, watching as she walked out, me following soon after.

Amity pov
I heard people coming down the steps, looking over to see Willow with Luz just a few steps behind her. "Hey, you guys ready to go?" I asked, studying the way Luz looked. She looked like some sort of skater boy with eyes that could kill you with one glance.

A hand waved in front of my face. I snapped out of my trance to see them all at the door. "Are you coming or are you just going to stand there looking pretty?" I blushed at the comment Luz was bolder than anyone I've ever met, or maybe it's because she wants to be something more than what others see. Either way, it made my heart beat.

I stood up, "yes, let's go." My car was outside, getting my keys out, I saw Luz walking in another direction, "Where are you going?" I asked, she looked at me, "To get my ride?" I shook my head, "nope, you're riding with us."

She rolled her eyes, "I don't like being in cars, Amity." I just shrugged, "guess we're walking." She groaned as she walked past everyone hopping in the front seat, "Well don't just stand there c'mon!" I just laughed at how she crossed her arms and pouted as I got in the drivers' seat. Willow and Gus sat in the back, knowing well they'd be able to sit on the back of my car whenever I took the roof off.

It made Luz jump whenever I hit the button, making the hood of my car come off. "Is it supposed to do that?" We all laughed. She blushed out of embarrassment, "Yes Luz, have you never seen a car like this?"

She shook her head, "I don't drive a car, remember?" I nodded, deciding to have some fun. "Hey wills, Gus hold on," I said, making them laugh as Luz sank into her seat, clenching the seatbelt. "I'm going to die" I started to speed down the road just a little, making her grab on to the seat. "Amity, slow down!" She said, making us laugh as I turned on the radio, finding my favorite song. Apparently, this was everyone's jam, even Luz's.

Why am I always hit on by the boys I never like?

I saw Luz bobbing her head.

I can always see 'em coming, from the left or from the right.

I don't want to be a priss, I'm just trying to be polite.

But it always seems to bite me in the.

Ask me for my number. Yeah, you put me on the spot.

You think that we should hook up, but I think that we should not.

You had me at "hello," then you opened up your mouth.

And that is when it started going south.

Oh!

Get your hands off my hips, or I'll punch you in the lips.

Stop looking at me, hey!

Willow and Gus punched their air.

Take a hint, take a hint.

No, you can't buy me a drink. Let me tell you what I think.

I think you could use a mint.

Take a hint, take a hint.

T-take a hint, take a hint

I guess you still don't get it, so let's take it from the top.

You asked me what my sign was, and I told you it was "stop."

And if I had a dime for every name that you dropped,

You'd be here, and I'd be on a yacht.

Oh!

Get your hands off my hips, or I'll punch you in the lips.

Stop looking at me, hey!

Take a hint, take a hint.

No, you can't buy me a drink. Let me tell you what I think.

I think you could use a mint.

Take a hint, take a hint.

T-take a hint, take a hint

What about "no" don't you get?

So go and tell your friends.

I'm not really interested.

It's about time that you leaving.

I'm going to count to three and

Open my eyes and

You'll be gone..

We were stopped by a red light. Luz looked me in the eyes as we both slowly counted along with the song.

One.

Get your hands off my-.

Two.

Or I'll punch you in the

three.

Stop looking at my, hey!

The light turned green and Luz looked away from me.

Take a hint, take a hint.

I am not your missing link.

Let me tell you what I think.

I think you could use a mint.

Take a hint, take a hint.

Take a hint, take a hint.

Woahhhh!

Get your hands off my hips, or I'll

punch you in the lips.

Stop looking at my, hey!

Take a hint, take a hint.

T-take a hint, take a hint

By the time the song had ended, we had made it to our destination. Luz got out first while she was covering her face up some before she was tackled by a boy.
