old friends

Luz pov
Omg, me and Amity just totally vibed and her eyes literally locked me in. I thought before I was tackled and nearly fell but regained my balance

"Hey what the hell" I looked up to see it was Jared he picked me up and swung me around  "Ok Jared I get it now put me down now!" Once he did I scoffed and I looked at everyone. The gang was all there, even her.
 
She came up to me and hugged me, "Oh how I've missed you." I blushed, "Um, uhhh hi." My brain was malfunctioning. "Guys, what are you doing here?" Audrey still hadn't let me go "We came to see our bestest friend, duhh!" Jared said my smile faltered and anger kind of took over.

"Best friend? I remember someone ditching me for the cops to get" I threw Audrey's hands off me now going over to Amity "Besides, I have plans for the day." I said, crossing my arms. "C'mon Luz, don't be like that. Ya know, we were your only friends." I pushed him, "Get away from me." Amity got in the middle of us.
 
This made Jared laugh. "Aww, ya got a little girlfriend now. Hey Audrey, it looks like you lost your chances with Luz!" This made my entire face turn red. "We aren't dating!" Amity and I both said this made Audrey light up.

"Of course you aren't because she's my girlfriend." I looked over at her, "I NEVER AGREED TO THAT!"

My heart was beating out of my chest though, after all these years of me liking her and she just got up and said, "I'm your girlfriend." I sighed "Audrey, I think you and the gang should leave, I am trying to hang out with my new friends, and I don't want you and Jared to ruin that. I think it's best you stay out of my life for now. You are the reason why I'm here anyway."
 
This made Willow and Gus smile some and Amity turned to look in a different direction, not bothering to look at me. Was she mad at me? "Did I do something wrong?" She shook her head, "N-no." I got curious and went to look at her face, but Audrey grabbed my hand, "Audrey, let me go."

I never thought whenever I got to hold her hand I would be acting like this. "Hey c'mon Luz, I thought you liked me back."

I yanked my hand away, nearly tripping over my shoes. "You told her!" She laughed and said, "Oh honey, it was obvious all I had to do was say something and you did it like a wittle dog." I gritted my teeth and was about to go off when Amity placed her hand on my shoulder and said, "Luz is with us, I think it's best you leave." I placed mine on hers and it felt nice. Audrey scoffed before placing a kiss on my cheek and shoving something in my pocket. which I assumed was a number.
 
As I watched them walk away, I started to feel defeated. "Her dog huh," I said to myself, "that's all I was." It felt hard to say because I honestly was head over heels for her and yet here I was knowing the truth. "Luz?" I looked over to see it was Willow. "Are you going to be okay?" I nodded, getting surprised when she hugged me. "Uhhhh" I said tensely, "Luz just shut up and embrace it."
 
I patted her head as she let me go "please never do that again." I was annoyed a bit but not enough to hurt anyone's feelings. Just then, Amity grabbed ahold of us and dragged us into the mall, making me groan, "Did we really have to come to such a crowded place?" Amity chuckled, making me blush.

I shook my head, not needing the voice in the back of my head bum me out. At first I jerked away, "Oh sorry, you just seem a little out of it. I thought it would help." I looked into her eyes, feeling myself being consumed by the honey gold they gave off, "It's fine, just not used to it is all."

"No one ever said I couldn't hold a friend's hand," I said, extending my hand. She smiled, "No, I don't think they did, and even if they did, it wouldn't stop us." I smiled back, "Yeah, who would stop us?"
 
Jared's pov
I sighed as I walked away from Luz. She was actually really mad at us, but it wasn't our faults. This whole plan was none other than Audrey's. I jumped at the sound of a bottle breaking, hearing an aggressive yell, "She is soo going to pay for rejecting me." I backed off letting her do her own thing. "D-don't you think it's time we let her be Aud?" I mean, it's obvious there's already a new girl, so why can't ya just find a replacement for the noceda? " I asked with a quiver in my voice.
 
Silence took over a bit before I ducked, "You idiot, how can you say that so casually?" She kept on throwing more things, making me feel like I was in a game of dodgeball. The only bad thing about it was the fact that I could die if I stopped. "I was just thinking that maybe she didn't want to hang out with us anymore. That's all I swear!" She stopped throwing things as I caught my breath. "Besides, did ya see how she blushed with that new girl? She's already over ya Aud!" This made her mad. "There's no way that can happen after Josh left. I need some sort of distraction, someone who is easy to use, and she's just that Jared!" I felt bad for the kid.

I mean, she liked Audrey for a while before she finally started to give up on her and now she was like, "I want there to be an us. "Aud, you do you.. but leave me out of it.

I'd rather not have the noceda of all these people coming after me." I said as I got chicken skin, remembering the day someone took her up for a challenge, "That's it! Jared, you're a genius! "
 
My eyebrows met when she said that "What?" She sighed "We turn her into that noceda that everyone fears once that preppy nobody sees that she's not someone she wants to be around she will leave and Luz will have no choice but to come back to us!" She said excited but I wasn't too happy .
 
Just let her live her life in peace.
