Hunter

Hunter's pov
I smiled as I approached the door I saw Amity's car there, so I knew she was there I had just gotten back from New York my new pet bird that I got chirped “We are going to see some of my old friends from when I first moved here” I said making my feathery friend chirp in excitement 

I made my way to the door turning the nob seeing everyone surrounded someone “I'm backkkkk” I said seeing someone turn their head making my throat clench some “HUNTER!” both Willow and my long-lost friend said in unison “Luz…” tears became known in my eyes as I ran to her, she doing the same when we collided I picked her up and spun her making her laugh “It's been too long partner!” I said while squeezing her, “Yeah it really has” she said as I put her down.

She then locked me in a headlock and have me a noogie “But I'm still able to bully you just like when we were kids” she said, making me chuckle as I tried to push her face away “Luz stopppp your messing up my hair!” I heard a chuckle as I looked up to see Willow, “What's got you laughing captain?” I said slinging my arm over Luz shoulder “I didn't know you knew each other” Luz just nodded some “Well I wouldn't know anyone if the lovely mittens didn't show me the roots” I noticed a hint of flirting in her voice, making me smirk.

Amity just blushed and walked up to me offering me a hug which I took gladly “You've grown since I last saw you” I told her which made her snicker “Well I wasn't going to stay that small kid you met a while back” I tussled her hair she hates when we do that

Willow was the next to hug me well more like a bear crushing hug “it's good… To see you too captain but… Can't breathe” she quickly let go making me turn my head a blush on my cheeks this made Luz give me a devilish smirk, but she was the same color when Amity got near making me return the smirk.

We had talked for what felt like hours until I popped a question that caused Luz's smile to falter, “So when did you more to the boiling isles?” She gave a fake smile “a few days ago” I nodded not wanting to pry further it seemed like she was uncomfortable talking about the subject “So got a girlfriend or boyfriend yet?”

She rolled her eyes putting her chin in the palm of her hand “No, but I have one person in mind, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't like me back” I proceeded to nod glancing at Amity some she had a look of sadness coating her face “What about you Amity? Any girls caught your eyes?” She jumped a little and went red “Uh yeah, yeah there is, but that's not important” looking back at Luz she gave that face I knew all too well.

Jealousy

It all clicked they like each other more than I thought, “So Luz I see you grew out of the no touching thing?” I signaled to her and Amity which she just shook her head “Not exactly I still don't want people touching me if I don't know them” I smiled and nodded remembering what happened to get her that way.

Flashback to 6-year-old hunter and Luz

“Pew pew pew” a young Luz said while running around with a stick that she pretended was a gun while hunter hid behind the metal pole of the playground, “Give it up we have you surrounded!” Hunter yelled as they were playing cops “Neverrr” Luz said taking off again finding a new place to settle before she bumped into someone.

She rubbed her head as she gained her bearings “Oh sorry sir” the man towered over Luz “Why that's quite alright little girl, here do you want a lolly?” She knew she wasn't supposed to take stuff from strangers but took it anyway, “Are you here all by yourself?” She was about to say no when the man put his hand on her leg “You have such pretty eyes” he said putting his hand under her chin “Um thank you, but I must be going my bu-”

Just before she finished her sentence a rock was tossed in the man's direction, they both looked over to see hunter getting his slingshot ready for another blow “Hands off my sister.” He said aiming for the one place he knew it hurt it made the man retreat “It's okay little boy I was just talking to her” Luz ran behind hunter and clenched on to his shirt, hunter let go sending the rock flying directly where the sun don't shine.

Flashback end

I smiled at how Amity and Luz interacted Luz would sometimes pull the blight closer if you ever met Luz before you would know she's bold but when it comes to girls, she's not anything compared to what she usually is she's dorky and smart she got her father's looks with her mom's wits that is for sure

I guess Luz became tired because when I looked back over in her direction she was asleep Amity still away talking as she allowed Luz to use her for support I quickly got my phone out snapping a picture remembering what the twins taught me about blackmail

I watched as Willow laughed, seeing that beautiful smile was enough to make me swoon if I wasn't already in love with her, it makes me just as more in love “so beautiful” I said without realizing it “Hm? Did you say something, hunter?” I realized my slip up “Oh uh no I was just talking to myself” I said chuckling I felt Willow elbow me “Okay dork” I blushed as she grew closer laying her head on my shoulder as everyone talked the twins taking a picture now of a very much asleep Amity and Luz cuddled up to one another.

I heard Luz's phone go off making me grab it seeing who was texting her it didn't have a password her lock screen was a picture of some anime she probably watched I slid up a smiled instantly as I saw what her background photo was “Aw that's so cute she has her background as Amity” I thought I heard Willow mumble something but ignored it

I went to her notifications and saw two separate messages, one from someone named Eda and the other from. Audrey.

“Oh hellll no” I started to type a message to the girl I knew Luz liked but got played by Luz would talk about her nonstop then cry about her, Willow grew curious “Hunter do you think it's a good idea to be doing that?” I nodded my head “Yeah, she knows not to try to fight Luz” it was true everyone back home knew not to upset Luz because of her temper “Not only that, but she has mittens now, so she definitely doesn't want to try to fight Luz”

This made the girl on my shoulder smile, “How come you're always right?” I looked at her “don't know” I could have sworn I saw a blush on her cheeks “Willow can I ask you something?”

She got up some “Of course”

I sighed “Willow do you want…”
