I am aware that most of your hatred of Audrey will only grow within the chapters of this book not providing details, but it will
Audrey and Luz actually knew one another in school at the age of 6 but never talked to each other Luz was nicknamed a loser and Audrey was the popular pretend rich kid
They didn't become friends until around middle school when Luz ended beating up one of the guys on the football team for ripping some pages out of a book she always carried with her (songbook) at this time Audrey had a gang type thing going on

Leader (Audrey)
Second in command (Joshua when he was there)
The fighter (Luz)
The brains (Jared)
To make sure, no confusion happens, the person on the football team who pissed off Luz isn't Audrey's ex, his name is Joshua whereas the one who was staring at Amity is just Josh (who Amity hates)
Luz takes everything Audrey does as an act of kindness that includes her pushing her around, so when Amity does something like holding her hand or hugging her she thinks it's just something a friend does with other friends because she's never had a good relationship to know what it's like to be in a happy relationship
Jared is just basically done with her shit and likes to try to stay out of it, but occasionally that becomes difficult because Audrey knows about him being gay, and she loves, and I mean loves to hang it above his head that she'll tell his very homophobic parents if he doesn't listen to her
So, conclusion, Audrey is just a b i t c h and no one likes her
But the real question is: What's going to happen to Luz when she starts playing into her games?
