String lights hung above the street, illuminating the pavement ahead as you pass by a variety of booths showcasing their diverse art, ranging from paintings, to simple sketches and sculptures. You have been frequently attending the local art fair during this one-time event for the past three years since it first opened. It was something you found peace in, and it was quite amazing to think about the stories behind each and every colour, each line, and each shape.
It was quite small for an art fair as it was only hosted in your small town, so you manage to stumble upon a lot of the same artists and sellers having different pieces of art displayed each year. At this point, almost all of the sellers recognised your face each year you came as you greeted them with a polite smile while admiring their work from afar. Some of them you had befriended.
You find yourself sitting down at a table by yourself, where a food truck was stationed at inside the fair. It was perhaps around evening time, a time you thought was most ideal to attend the fair. The sky looked almost fully dark, realising that it was getting late, but you could see the stars faintly shining in your field of vision.
You finish up the food you ordered before throwing away your rubbish and walking away. Yet there was some eagerness jumping inside of you from the thought of walking around once more to look at all the displayed art one last time.
Leaving the food area, you head back to where the main event was. The effect of the moonlight shone on the shiny pavement as you start to slowly walk down the street, hands in pocket from the shivering bereze as your eyes cast in all different directions.
From one glance, a booth that contained sculptures was filled with people. One of the tall sculptures appeared to be the shape of a mermaid𑁋it looked almost as tall as the booth itself. There was a table of mini-sculptures, attracting most of its attention of the customers on there.
Another booth held rows of hyperealistic drawings, and the booth next to it contained a multitude collection of pottery art. All of the surrounding booths were filled with people; it didn't seem like the fair would be closing anytime soon.
You try to look for a booth that barely had anyone in it, since these booths held limited space. Your fingers stumble upon some cash in your pocket, hopeful that you could leave the art fair with something worth buying. Sometimes the booths that were nearly empty accommodated some hidden treasures that you sought for.
And so your quest begins.
