There was no one else in the studio who was able to see Mina's potential other than you. The girl would always be shadowed away in the back of the class, silently practicing in her own little bubble whiler the other dancers were working just as hard for the upcoming recital, including you.

Yet it wasn't until you began to notice just how, one could, different she is compared to the other dancers. It wasn't in your place to stare at her while practicing, but you've surely glanced in her direction many times and noticed how she picked up the choreography with ease while others would be struggling.

The girl just seemed to disappear into another reality when she would be practicing as if she had dedicated her life into it. She's a rather shy, quiet girl, who always seems the be the one to leave first when a practice would end. You've wanted to approach her many times though, such as nicely asking for her advice, but you've found yourself to be a complete coward.

Time would be around eight in the evening, three more days until the recital. Practice had just ends, beads of sweat trickling down your forehead from the amount of exhaustion you poured into today. You've all had been working more harder than usual these days to be able to perfect the performance for the recital; it was a normal, but an incredibly tiring process as the days counted down. Perfection was key in this recital, and you knew it would be worth it in the end.

However recently, you've been able to convince your parents if you could arrive home a bit later as you wanted more time to practice to yourself. There was a lot of pressure on your shoulders because of the recital, so the most you could do was put in some extra work.

"Miss Kim, I was wondering if I could stay a bit in the studio to work on the routine?" You approach your teacher as she takes a sip of water.

She looks at you up and down for a moment, a bit of suspicion in her gaze. "Don't stay too long."

You give a nod and a polite bow to thank her as she walks away, giving yourself as silent victory smile.

You linger in the back of the changing room for some time, giving yourself a brief break while watching one-by-one as your fellow dancers disappear from the voice, the chattering of voices fading away. You've rarely stayed after in the studio after practices, so the atmosphere felt a bit unsettling once it came to complete silence.

Making sure your hair was our of your face, you finally make your way out of the changing room and back into the studio, feeling this sense of anticipating inside of you.
