The sound of the alarm shoot your eyes open, startling you from you slumber as you take in the early morning light that was trying its best to seep through the curtains on the windows. You could tell it was quite early in the morning, which was an ideal ime for you to wake up.
Reaching over, you quickly turn off the alarm and allow you arms to fall limp to your side. But as you try to stretch out of the bed, you feel your fingers lightly touch the warm body that had been sleeping next to you. A quiet sigh leaves your lips as you turn your head over, seeing the relaxed body of your girlfriend, Ahn Hyejin, sleeping soundlessly right next to you. Yes, Ahn Hyejin, your girlfriend of almost two years, the love of your life, your other half...
...who is also found to not quite exactly be a morning person. You weren't bothered at all by the fact, as you knew how busy she could be with her career. These days you'd always let her sleep in and prepare her breakfast, knowing that she often arrives home late and collapses on the bed right away. You hated seeing her stressed, but now, she had been on a break for a few days, and it was almost over. And you had the desire to make the day worthy of everyting.
Scooting closer to her, you slowly encapsulate your girlfriend into your arms, taking in her warmth as you press your body against her back. A low murmur leaves her lips, making you chuckle. You feel Hyejin relax in your embrace once again, shifting in the bed to make sure she was deep in your hold. You loved those soft actions that she does with you: when she's in your arms so you could take in her scent and company, when she's the little spoon and you're the big spoon, and when she silently admires you when you talked.
However, the tough thing is, how the heck do you get her out of bed this early in the morning?
You lean in almost cautiously, tugging strands of her newly-dyed ash brown hair, placing a small kiss to the nape of her neck where her Maria tattoo is and whispering softly, "Hyejinnie, baby, wake up."
This earns another low murmur from her. She still doesn't budge from your comfortable hold. And as you try to release yourself slightly from her, it makes her shift from the loss of warmth. You watch in amusement as the woman flips herself over, adorably bare-faced and eyes still closed. She stretches her arms out to blindly search for you, before finding your waist and pulling you close, burying her face in your neck.
And even though you've been with her for this long, her closeness still never fails to make your heart race. And upon close inspection, the tiniest hint of a smile appears on her face from your racing heartbeat.
