"Yeah, don't worry! I had a lot of fun today too. We should definitely catch up again over coffee. Would Saturday work for you? Maybe at three? If your schedule is filled again we could do around five like we did today. Yeah? Okay. See you then. Bye!'
Hanging up the phone, a gleefule smile draws its way back on your face as your face as you rest your back against the pillows of the bed. You had just gotten off the phone with your childhood best friend whom you haven't seen for almost a year. Ever since finally venturing out into your own life, you had become a bit distant with your friends who have stuck with you throughout your school years. You felt guilty from it, but recently you've found that reminscent connection again with your old best friend after a few hours of conversation at a nearby coffee shop.
"Jeez, who in the world are you cheating on me with now?" a sudden voice startles you out of your thoughts, and you turn to face a pouty, bare-faced Jihye in the doorway, who seemed to be completely swallowed by an oversized black hoodie and a pair of shorts.
"Jihye... I did not hear you come home. How was your day today?" You ask, crossing your arms together with a joking grin on your face.
"Well, now that I found out you have another significant other, I guess that's my mission officially over with."
"Wait, baby, wait!" You hurriedly scurry out of the bed and practically lunge yourself towards Jihye, capturing her into your arms which then turns into a comfortable bear hug. Placing your head atop her shoulders, you mutter pleadingly, "Don't go, please. I swear you're my favourite girlfriend out of all of them."
Jihye rolls her eyes playfully as she turns around to face you, glance momentarily landing at your lips then back up to your eyes. She notices that playful glint in your pupils. "I really don't know how I manage to deal with you."
The two of you meet eyes, and you couldn't help but melt over the way her cheeks were slightly puffed out, which always happens when she pouts and becomes jealous. You always found it incredibly cute whenever she'd be jealous, and you purposely tease her over it. She claims she doesn't get jealous easily, but you both know that wasn't true.
"Is my little baby jealous again?" You say tauntingly as your finger comes up to poke lightly at her cheeks, which makes her do an adorable nose scrunch.
"Clearly they make you happy more than I do," Jihye responds sulkingly, her hands coming to land on your hips firmly as she leans towards your face. "Maybe I should revoke my contract of being your girlfriend."
You shake your head frantically. "No can do, you're officially staying with me for... hmm, a long time now."
Jihye lets her hands fall down to her side before brushing past you to place herself at the edge of the bed. "Mhmm, you have to give me a good reason then."
Your eyes gaze over her figure for a mometn before you walk up to her. Sitting yourself down on her lap, Jihye had no choice but to look up at you. One of her hands run up your thigh lightly, with the other one gripping at the collar of your shirt to pull you down into a kiss. You can feel that cheeky smile on her face as you continue to softly brush your lips against hers.
Your hands slowly run up under her sweater, caressing the warm skin of her toned abdomen underneath. Her body tenses from the touch, yet it only makes her kisses turn a bit more desperate. And as you kiss, a smirk crosses your face as an idea pops into your head.
And so, with your hands being underneath her sweater, you start to tickle her. A surprised squeal leaves her as she pulls away from your lips, struggling to shove you away. All her attempts fail as she collapses back onto the bed, the backs of her hands pinned with her laughter echoing throughout the bedroom.
"Y/N! St-Stop tickling me!" Jihye utters out helplessly as your tickling begins to die down.
But just as you free her hands, she's as quick to flip you over on the bed to pin you down and unleash her tickling onto you. You fleetingly lose control of all your limbs the moment her fingers brush against your skin, only the sounds of your giggles filling up the room. You try to tickle her back, but there was no hope.
Jihye finally lets her tickling subside, leaving all those strange tingling snesations to shoot throughout your body one last time. She lands right next to you, reaching over the softly caress your face before placing a quick peck to your lips.
"You are an absolute menace, you know?"
"But you love me."
"Somehow I do."
For a minute or two, you both could only listen to the sound of each other's heavy breathing while taking in one another's presence. You didn't need long to realise just how in love you were with her.
Seemingly as if she could read your mind, a goofy, loving smile sprouts on Jihye's face as she brings herself into your embrace, intertwining her legs with yours as her lips momentarily graze over the skin of your neck. You hold her tight as you ever could, her scent washing over you like a warm blanket.
"I love you, Jihye." You mutter somewhat shyly, even though you've said those three words many times before.
"Hmm, am I the person you love most out of all those people you cheat on me with?" Jihye asks you jokingly while positioning herself comfortably between your legs.
You play with a few strands of her hair, rolling your eyes to her words. "As a matter of fact, you're the only person I can declare to be totally obsessed with."
"Pfft, you're so cheesy," Jihye responds, then after a moment, she says, "I love you too, Y/N."
