"How do I say this in the most polite way possible? You're an idiot," the short haired ginger giggled at her best friend, who had just gone on his fourth date in one week. So far, all of them were awful. She admired his persistence, and sometimes enjoyed his suffering.

"I don't want to hear anything from you, Buckley. I swear, I'm so done with relationships." Steve huffed in annoyance as he stepped out of his car, leaning against it. "I don't understand what's going on, I'm usually so good at getting girls!"
That statement earned a cackle from Robin.

"Maybe it's difficult to get girls when you're too busy gawking over Miss Perfect," Robin teased, rolling her eyes and gently nudging his shoulder.

"I'm pretty sure you're talking about yourself, every time we hang out with Nancy, you make it super obvious that you're staring at her boobs. I'm pretty sure she notices too," Steve shot back, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as Robin blushed at his sentence.

"I will literally punch you in your dumb face if you don't shut up," she lightly smacked the back of his head as she walked past him. "Now, get in the car." Robin opened the passenger's side door to Steve's car and plopped down into the seat with a big sigh.

"Where are we going?" Steve questioned as he got in the car anyway, not realizing they had made plans.

"To pick up your children from school, dingus. How dare Mama Steve forget about his children?"

Steve rolled his eyes, but agreed with Robin nonetheless. Those little shit heads were basically his children. He forgot that Dustin had asked him to pick them up after their D&D club meeting today. The once popular, party boy Harrington was now in charge of nerdy children who hung out with him any time they could. His game had really gone downhill.

As he pulled his car around the front of Hawkins High School, he saw Mike, Dustin, and Lucas with their group of D&D players. In the middle stood Eddie, a long haired metalhead that ran the Hellfire Club. Steve was a little jealous of Eddie, the kids thought he was so cool and wanted to hang out with him constantly for the last few months. Henderson especially thought Eddie was so cool, which made Steve upset. He was supposed to be Dustin's best friend.

Steve had spoken to Eddie a few times, but they were merely acquaintances at this point.

Steve honked the horn a few times. "Get a move on, guys! We have places to be!"

The kids saw him and made their way towards the car. Steve caught Eddie's eye and Eddie made his way over to the car as well. "Robin! You coming out to the party tonight?"

"Is Nancy going? I'll be there if she is," Robin joked, earning a small laugh from Eddie.

"Last I heard, she was the one throwing it," he glanced over to Steve. "You coming too, Harrington?"

"I have a date, but I'll probably have to come by to take care of this one," he nodded over to Robin, and she lightly shoved him.

"Dude, ditch your date and come party with us," Robin scoffed, and Eddie nodded. "They've been going terribly anyways."

"Just tell everyone about my love life, why don't you?" Steve rolled his eyes, slightly embarrassed that she had said that in front of Eddie. "I have a good feeling about this one."

"Well, if you decide to be cool and come party, you know where we'll be," Eddie winked and tapped the roof of the car a few times. "See you later, Robs. Bye, Harrington."

Steve watched him walk away, a black handkerchief hanging out of his back pocket. Steve never understood what the purpose of that was. He was a little bit jealous of the way that Eddie just radiated confidence, even being labeled as the freak who worships the devil, supposedly. He was hard to read, and Steve couldn't figure him out.
