23.

Eddie had been meeting with the Hellfire club for a few hours now, and Steve was growing impatient waiting for him. He needed to go get some stuff from his house, but didn't want to face his parents alone, should they be there. He asked everyone else, and they were busy too.

"I could just go myself," Steve muttered to himself, digging around in his pocket for his car keys. He had been sitting in front of an empty house in his neighborhood, waiting for the right time to stop by his house.

If there even was a right time.

He drove down the street to his house, not seeing any cars in the driveway. He breathed out a sigh of relief and parked, heading inside slowly and carefully. The house seemed somewhat quiet as he entered, but he soon found that it wasn't exactly empty.

"Steve! Oh, we haven't seen you in a few days! Are you okay?" Steve's mother emerged from the kitchen, and Steve sighed quietly.

"Fine. I'm just here to get some fresh clothes," Steve lightly pushed past his mother and stepped up the stairs to his room.

"Fine? That's it? You're not going to talk to me? We haven't seen you in a few days, Steven!" His mother was noticeably angry with him over his behavior, but Steve couldn't care any less.

"So? I'm basically an adult, why do you suddenly care so much?" Steve continued to make his way into his room and started putting things in his bag.

"Because you're my son!" His mother exclaimed, letting out a huff.

"That's funny, I haven't felt like it lately," Steve continued to give her bland responses.

"Have you been hanging around that long haired boy that your father and I ran into yesterday? He was talking to Robin," His mother crossed her arms, watching Steve pack things.

"Who? Are you talking about Eddie?" Steve delayed his response by a few seconds, and the expression in his mom's face changed.

"So you know him?"

"Yes, I know him. The kids are in a club with him and I met him through Robin. They were friends before I met him," Steve explained, wondering why he was even explaining himself to his mother.

"He's a bad influence on you, you've completely changed," his mother sighed, speaking softly.

"No, I decided not to deal with you and Dad walking all over me," Steve laughed sarcastically, zipping up his duffel bag and slinging it over his shoulder.

"I'm just saying, that kid looks like he worships the devil, and we don't allow that in this house," his mother started to raise her voice, and Steve lightly pushed past her to go down the stairs.

"Well, joke's on you, he's been here multiple times. And he's going to continue to be here, because he's my friend," Steve mentally cringed at the use of 'friend' when referring to Eddie. He hated saying it.

Steve's mother gave him a look as Steve made his way out the front door, getting into his car and quickly driving away. He sighed and ran his hand through his hair and speaking softly to himself, "God, I can't deal with them anymore."

Eddie arrived at his trailer and noticed that no one was there. He thought at least Steve would be, but didn't think much of it. He grabbed an already rolled joint from his room and lit it, sitting on the couch to watch a movie.

He heard the door open a few minutes later and in walked Steve, looking somewhat distraught. "Hi, Eds."

"Stevie, what happened?" Eddie questioned, immediately sensing something was wrong.

"I went to get more of my stuff and just got a lecture from my mom," Steve fell into the couch, leaning against Eddie.

Eddie scoffed, taking a hit off his joint before speaking again. "Of course. What did she have to say this time?"

"She asked if I had been hanging out around you because I haven't been putting up with their shit lately," Steve rolled his eyes as he spoke. "I said yes and she said you weren't allowed to come over because you apparently worship the devil."

Eddie let out a laugh and shook his head. "I was completely fucking with them, but they really fell for that? Wow."

"I just hate arguing with her, but they both just piss me off so much," Steve sighed, glancing at Eddie and holding his hand out. "Can I have some of that?"

Eddie handed his joint over to Steve and watched him take a few hits, raising his eyebrows. "Slow down, pretty boy."

"Or what?" Steve taunted, a small smirk on his face.

Eddie was surprised by this comment and gave Steve a slight smirk back. "Why don't you find out?"

That sentence gave Steve chills all over. When Eddie spoke in that specific voice, it made Steve go absolutely crazy. "Maybe I will."

Steve took another hit and blew the smoke directly into Eddie's face. Eddie closed his eyes and inhaled, continuing to maintain his composure and not do the things he really wanted to do to Steve.

Steve saw that he was holding back, and proceeded to try and taunt Eddie more. He started leaving small, sloppy kisses along Eddie's neck, and this definitely got a response. But, Eddie didn't give in just yet.

Steve got up and made his way to Eddie's room, not saying anything. He wanted to see if the long haired boy would follow him. Lo and behold, his plan worked, because Eddie had followed him into the room a few minutes after. He walked in just in time to see Steve pulling off his shirt and grabbing another from his duffel bag.

Of course, Eddie had seen Steve without a shirt plenty of times. He had seen way more too. But it drove him crazy every time.

"How convenient," Eddie leaned against the door frame, crossing his arms and smirking.

"What?" Steve turned to face him, holding a clean shirt in one hand.

"You took your shirt off right as you heard me follow you in here," Eddie raised an eyebrow, and Steve laughed.

"I just came to get a clean shirt," Steve shrugged, giving Eddie the smallest smirk.

"Sure," Eddie nodded, eyeing Steve up and down before walking over to him and pulling him in by the belt loops on his jeans.

Steve slowly dropped the shirt in his hand, not breaking eye contact with Eddie. Eddie ran his thumb across Steve's jaw, glancing at his lips. Steve just watched his gaze, not saying a word. Eddie leaned over and started placing small kisses against Steve's neck, smirking once more against his skin. He gently bit down, knowing how much that drove Steve absolutely crazy.

Steve bit his lip to stay quiet, and his hand moved to Eddie's hair, gently tugging at it. He knew what Eddie was doing, and he planned on doing it right back. Steve could hear a very quiet but audible groan come from Eddie and tugged slightly harder. Eddie bit down against Steve's neck even harder, getting a surprised gasp out of him.

"Two can play at that game, sweetheart," Eddie mumbled against Steve's skin, and pulled Steve closer to him. As close as they could get.

"If that was a game, then you win."

And that was all Eddie needed to hear.
