Eddie spent the rest of his and Steve's night together making Steve listen to his music. Steve definitely thought that they had very different music tastes, but he appreciated Eddie showing him his interests. He thought it was cute that Eddie learned to play all of his favorite metal songs on guitar, and thought it was cute that Eddie was head banging to all of the songs he was showing Steve.

"Did you grow out your hair just so you could look cool and head-bang while listening to metal?" Steve teased, which got an eye roll and a middle finger from Eddie.

"Yeah, I worked hard growing out these luscious locks just so I could look cool while listening to metal," Eddie replied sarcastically, giving his boyfriend a wink.

"It was a valid question!" Steve became defensive, laughing softly as Eddie stopped his music.

"It was valid, just a little bit dumb," Eddie teased, falling onto his bed next to Steve and laying in his lap.

"Rude," Steve scoffed playfully, glancing down at Eddie. Eddie's big brown eyes stared back up at him in admiration, and Steve took their quiet moment to admire the small details of Eddie.

The way his curly hair was sticking out every which way as Eddie laid on Steve's lap. The way a perfect ringlet was strung across Eddie's cheek, which made Steve want to brush it behind Eddie's ear. He eventually ended up doing just that, and Eddie closed his eyes as he felt Steve's touch. Steve thought about how he would do anything for Eddie, and the way the metalhead made him feel absolutely terrified him.

Was he in love?

The only other time he had been in love was with Nancy, and that was over two years before he had even met Eddie officially. He fell hard and fast for Nancy, only to have his heart ripped out of his chest because she thought their relationship was bullshit. After that experience, he decided that he didn't want to be in love for a long time.

But, here he was, wondering if he was actually in love with Eddie Munson, the so called "freak" of Hawkins High School.

"You look like you're thinking pretty hard, sweetheart," Eddie snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Oh, I just zoned out," Steve shook his head, giving Eddie a small smile.

His long haired boyfriend gave him a smile back and sat up, propping his head up onto a pillow and patting the open space next to him. Steve took that opportunity to fall into the pillow next to Eddie, moving slowly to lay on Eddie's chest.

Something about laying on Eddie right before going to sleep jut relaxed Steve more than anything else. He almost instantly became tired, pulling a blanket over himself and letting out a quiet sigh.

"Already tired, Harrington?" Eddie raised an eyebrow, gently running his hand through Steve's hair.

"You wore me out earlier, Munson," Steve laughed, which got a quiet laugh out of Eddie.

"You already took a nap earlier!"

"Well, I'm tired again!"

Eddie just rolled his eyes and placed a few small kisses against Steve's forehead before reaching over and shutting his light off. As Steve slowly started to fall asleep, he felt Eddie playing with the ends of his hair. It was one of his favorite things that Eddie did. Eddie did it subconsciously, it was a regular habit for him now. They fell asleep next to each other so often that Eddie wasn't sure he could ever fall asleep without Steve again.

As he heard Steve snoring softly in his arms, Eddie laid awake, staring up at the ceiling of the run down trailer. He was overwhelmed with feelings, good feelings, and thought about how much Steve has impacted his life in such a short time.
