Lavender and Beomgyu stayed in the art room after classes, working on their project due in three months.
they sat at the same table, painting different canvases and sculptures. they would decide which sketches would look best for the project, the position everything should be in, and the proportions of their art.
"if we had a few canvases placed around the sculptures, i think that would support our idea for refusal of departure." Beomgyu said, sticking a paintbrush behind his ear, looking at Lavender from his shoulder.
"if we took an odd amount of canvases, it would be cool to engulf the amount of sculptures in the center so the proportions would work."
"so its like the walls stopping departure?!" Beomgyu lit up at their spectacular idea.
"exactly!"
"i'm in love with this idea!" the both of them clapped and they continued to perfect the canvases and sculpture layouts.
"oh!" Lavender exclaimed to Beomgyu as she began to pack up her things to leave the studio with him. "there's a place i want to show you."
Beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, swinging his bag over his shoulder and standing up. "what is it?"
"it's a surprise!"
"well," he closed the light and locked the studio, walking down the hallway of the university with the girl for an exit. "i'm beyond excited then."
they began to walk down the sidewalks, which had become a constant routine for them. Beomgyu watched Lavender spin around the streets for the past week now and it never failed to put a smile on his face every single time. he loved the energy she radiated. even if she were upset, she continued to smile to keep a good energy. but it hurt Beomgyu, he didn't like seeing her in pain even though she tried to conceal it.
"we're almost there!" she hopped as the boy behind her skipped along to try and catch up to her.
he ran and passed her, looking back at the girl who was quite far now. he blew a raspberry and ran farther along the street. "you're too slow!"
"HEY!" she screamed, running as fast as she could down the street to catch up. she tapped his shoulder and pulled his wrist so he would stop running once she got a hold of him. "we're here!"
before Beomgyu could look around to guess where she took him, she cupped her hand around his eyes and led him through the door of the surprise.
"you can open your eyes now!" Lavender exclaimed.
"i'm scared."
"why?" she whined, crossing her arms.
"what if you took me to a dark alley to get killed?"
"maybe i did, but you wouldn't know because your eyes are closed."
"then i don't want to know."
she walked up to him and removed his hands that covered his eyes. opening one at a time, she showed him the surprise.
it was the most beautiful shop Beomgyu had ever laid his eyes upon. it was decorated with flowers along the walls and greenery along the rims to enclose the room. it felt as if he were walking into a sanctuary, and it took him by surprise that he had never seen this place. with elaborate decorations like blossoms all along the tables to intricate details such as the vines on the cash register.
