the exhibit was nearing. Beomgyu and Lavender were in the process of adding finishing touches to their project. anxious thoughts and feelings filled the air and their bodies as they only had a bit over a week to complete it.
Lavender stood up and examined the piece from afar, judging and critiquing everything. "do you think the sculptures tilted?" she used her fingers as if she were manually moving it. "by maybe five degrees?"
"darling." Beomgyu stood up and walked over to her, cupping her face to look up at him. "you're stressing too much. the audience will love our piece."
she sulked. "i guess, i don't know i'm just scared."
"don't be." he held her hand up. "we can do this!"
"we still have a week left, let's continue painting for the next few days." they sat back at their seats after Beomgyu gave the girl a quick peck on her cheek.
"have you placed your invite list, by the way?" Beomgyu asked the girl who seemed rather confused.
"what?"
"your invite list!" he went to the hallway and grabbed the list slips. he pointed with his pointer finger at the places she needed to mark. he was sitting ear to ear to her, explaining the details. "you fill in as many people you want to invite. there's a limit to five and you have to-" Beomgyu was cut off by the girl's surprising gesture of pecking him on the cheek. "love, i'm being serious." he pouted.
"i know." she sighed. "i only have a few people i want to invite anyway."
"who?"
Lavender pointed on her fingers. "my grandma, Taehyun, and his father!" she smiled, making Beomgyu smile too. "i can't think of anybody else i'd want to invite."
he handed her the pen. "you can write them down from top priority to last priority, since there might not be enough room in the exhibition room." Beomgyu looked at her. "you would've known had you listened." he rolled his eyes jokingly, making the girl laugh.
"i'm adding stars next to my grandma's name." she smiled, filling in with yellow colored pencils.
"oh, go grab a list for yourself."
"why?"
"i want to make sure Taehyun has an invite. i'd be extremely upset if he didn't come."
"i wouldn't be." Beomgyu mumbled, grabbing another list and shakily grabbing the pen.
"so i write him as number one?" she looked at the boy with her pure eyes.
"yes, why not?"
"nothing, just checking." he took a deep breath in and wrote it down, submitting it into the clear box in the back of the room.
the two returned to their project. it was looking rather beautiful, even if they hadn't envisioned it like that.
with two sculptures desperately holding out for each other, canvases surround the two figures with two different locations. one of the sculptures were encircled in abstract colors and one of the others were in pastels and lighter colors. both of them were holding onto something in their hands. a snowdrop and a lavender.
