Lavender made her way to the flower shop to see Taehyun from across the street with his hands in his pockets. they saw each other and laughed, smiling at each other.

she adored their friendship. it was as if nothing changed within the years they were apart from each other. she adored her best friend, he was just as comfortable to be around.

but she did miss Beomgyu. she hadn't seen him for two days, and he hadn't stopped by her house. she thought that maybe he was still busy unpacking or working on the project? or maybe he needed time alone, she didn't know.

besides, there was no way to contact him besides the payphone and he had never used one before so she didn't expect anything with that.

her and Taehyun met at the midpoint, directly in front of the flower shop.

his hair was beautifully messy from running with snow falling into place like dominoes. Lavender's black hair strands flew from the breeze, but not too evidently messy. just perfect.

but she didn't feel complete. and maybe it was because she hadn't seen or talked to Beomgyu.

"lets go inside." Lavender led Taehyun in, smiling and unlocking the doors. they turned on the lights and smiled yet again, at the perfectly awkward moment.

"i thought we would be meeting up at your grandmother's house, to be honest." he began, taking his coat off and placing it on the back of his chair.

"well, i wanted her to be there to see you. you were like a grandson to her."

"i feel honored." they laughed.

Taehyun's eyes followed around the store as he waited for his friend to get settled in her seat. the place was rather decorated. with greenery tangled vines upon every inch of the room, it seemed like a greenhouse. but the ambiance was so beautiful and perfect, it was everything.

she finally sat down, giving him a chance to talk. "i'm so glad you're finally able to pursue your artist dream. i always thought you should be recognized for your talents."

"thank you, but i'm not too confident about those so-called talents right now."

"how come?" he furrowed his eyebrows. he always thought she was the best artist ever and was quite shocked she lost so much confidence in her pieces.

"i received my critique on our year-end project and she thought it was boring." Lavender sighed. "she said i lack any emotion in my pieces and that they don't bring any sort of feelings to her heart."

"clearly she has a stone cold heart because anybody in their right mind would be able to tell how much of a phenomenal artist you are. your portraits and sculptures take my breath away, that woman is-"

"Taehyun," Lavender laughed, calming him down. "it's quite hard to say that about my professor who specializes in art. besides, my partner helped calm me down. we agreed to incorporate more emotion in the piece anyway."

"well that's good."

"how's your music career going, though?"
