Beomgyu knocked on the girl's door, early in the morning but the snow had no conception of time.
"Beomgyu?" Lavender opened the door to a cute, brown haired boy who was rather bundled today with his hair curly rather than wavy and his grey sweatshirt. immediately, he rushed in to embrace the girl in a loving hug.
"happy birthday!!!!" he pulled back and pecked her on the forehead, then the eyes, lips and cheeks, lastly poking her nose. she laughed at his loving actions. "get dressed, we're spending today together."

"you said you wanted to make breakfast at my house, right?" Beomgyu smiled at the girl clutching his hand and swinging it around as she skipped along the streets, receiving a small nod. "my apartment is quite clean now that i've organized mostly everything."
the two walked into his apartment as Lavender took a seat in the kitchen dining area. "you cleaned really well."
"all for you~" he hovered over the girl sitting on the chair and kissed her nose. he made his way over to the stove and looked through the cabinets. "what does the birthday girl want for her breakfast?"

the two finished their breakfast as Beomgyu stood up immediately, confusing Lavender. he placed his puffer jacket on along with his mittens.
"where are you going?"
"i have a surprise." he smiled, making her stand up. she placed her beanie and her coat on as well. he held her hand and led her outside of his apartment. he sat atop his bike and pulled out two helmets. "hop on."
and so, the girl sat on the back of the bike and wrapped her hands around his waist. "where are we going?"
"it's a surprise!" he hooked his guitar case on the bike's carriage area. "i went there earlier today so i could prepare something lovely for you."
he steered the bike on the sidewalk and then on the roads. the weather was less cold than usual, but still freezing. it had to have been 40 degrees fahrenheit, but he still wanted to take her out for something special. he loved her and wanted her to know that...even if he was leaving in 10 days forever. he really wanted to tell her but he didn't know when the time was right. especially not on her birthday.
the feeling of the girl's arms around his waist formed a red warm tint on his cheeks that warmed him up in the cold weather. with her head on his shoulder, he smiled and steered them alongside the empty roads.
even though he had been here for a few months now, Beomgyu hadn't ever gotten used to the fact that the town wasn't very busy. there were many buses along the roads every once in a while and cars were near impossible to spot. mostly bicycles, so he was glad he invested in one.
he wrapped a jacket around the girl's waist since she wore a dress today. it was rather beautiful, a white lace dress with puffed sleeves. though he worried that her legs would get cold considering the weather, but as long as she was comfortable. it was almost like they were matching, Beomgyu's jean jacket and his sweater looked adorable with her outfit. thankfully, he prepared a camera to take photos together.
the bike ride was a little far. Lavender's eyes were getting heavy with exhaustion. almost thirty minutes had passed and they still hadn't arrived. "are we almost there yet?"
