Emotions, They are like storms. They roll in calm looking, start off with drizzles, before they rage tormenting the area before leaving a disaster to clean up and come in waves.
The worst part?
Uncontrollable...
Minho to say the least was conflicted when he saw Jisung was sitting in the living room waiting to leave, yet stared at his nails like they were something interesting on them.
He had finished getting dressed himself, but his mind was elsewhere.
"Lets go Han, Chan is waiting for us." Minho plainly said. it still sounded cold, but it wasn't meant to be directed at the younger, but without context Jisung assumed otherwise.
Did I do something wrong?
Jisung, stood up quietly as per usual, slowly following the older out as he locked his dorm room. it was like dragging a antisocial kid out to public, they trailed behind, slow and cautious. Jisung was this person, to calm his mind, he choose to put his earbuds in. Minho wasn't talking to him let alone walking. He was 10 steps ahead, in his own world.
No comments, no conversations between the two could be made. If people from outside were looking at them, it was like they were two separate people, not even together, but just minding their own business , going on with their day. Jisung felt small, Minho felt angry. Not at anyone particular but more so himself with the way he reacted to Jisung trying to help him. It was almost borderline romantic to him if it wasn't for the fact Hyunjin used to do this.
Before the two realized they were already at the café that Chan told them to meet at. Cat Garden, a small but durable coffee shop and a way to lighten Minho's mood. His love for cats was beyond his troubled mind. Jisung watched as Minho zoomed in and started Cooing at every cat in sight. Bending down and tickling the felines chins. Cats overload swarmed him. It was a 180 from the normally composed Minho.
"He loves cats as you can see." Chan spoke, careful not to startle the younger. He hummed in response watching Minho still.
"I am glad you came out. Its hard to get Minho out, he is antisocial." Chan continued talking as he stood in the small line up waiting to order. Jisung's interest piqued as he tore his attention from the crazy cat boy to his supposed friend.
Jisung tilted his head at the weird response. The subtle gesture made Chan catch on quickly as if he was questioning why Minho was considered anti-social.
"Oh! Similar to you, Minho doesn't have the greatest social ability. I'm pretty much his only friend? And you?" Chan raised a brow before a small head shake.
"Ahh, were next." Completely changing the course if the topic as Minho approached the pair with a cat lounging in his arms. Chan looked at him with pure amusment earning a similar glare.
"Shut up! I like cats. Don't patronise me. They are better then humans." Minho huffed, Jisung doing what he did best, keeping to himself. He pointed at what he wanted and provided any small change he could to Chan before his hand was pushed into his chest.
"Save it. I'm buying." Minho quickly stuttered out, blush creeping upon his cheeks. He was having weird moon swings and Jisung just couldn't tell what the the older had in mind.
"small vanilla chai frappe please. And a cinnamon raisin bagel with-" Minho stated clearly, drawing off at the end looking at Jisung.
"Butter..." Jisung shoved his words down. It had to be cheap. He didn't want money spent on him. In fact it was another thing over stimulating him.
"Excuse me- you are not just eating a begal."
Jisung choose to ignore the antics of the older. Attempting to even hide his face, he turned and walked away. Rubbing at his hands.
"Minho-" Chan just sighed. In the heat of the moment the two were silently bickering, one with subtle glares, the other with his voice. Chan took the opportunity to pay for everything, he already knew Minhos special. Jisung was on the far side of the cafe, by a window.
"Whats with him?" Minho suddenly asked.
"You have to remember, he lived this way his entire life nearly. He only ate when desperate. We can't force him to eat, It'll make him sick." Chan reminded.
"But still... He's been acting weird since this morning. Oh god, did I do something wrong?" Minho started mumbling under his breath smacking his forehead.
Stupid.. stupid-stupid.
"What are you doing?" Chan brought the youngers hands down to stop him from torementing himself with whatever was occupying his mind.
"I kinda coldly snapped at him earlier today. I know it was a friendly gesture but I didn't think anything of it at the time."
There order was ready to be picked up at the counter as they grabbed their drinks and food, plus a begal before turning towards Jisung and the table he had choosen.
Chan continued eyeing the male, waiting for him to finish his unfinished thought.
"He tried helping me that way Hyunjin used to. He even called me Hyung... And I just slipped and kinda coldly pushed him away. Fuck me... I just-" Minho was frustrated.
"Jisung isn't Hyunjin, Minho. Hyunjin was toxic for you. He manipulated that mind of yours. Jisung won't do that. There is no reason to be worried. Thats why your eyebrow has been twitching already. Normally I can get you till 4PM without stressing out." Chan sat down across from Jisung who was blankly staring out the window.
"Sung, here you go." Chan handed the younger his bagel. Who nodded curtley as a thank you. Opening its wrapping but just stared at it. He really hadn't eaten much lately. Just a few things here and there from Minhos pantry.
It would be of something that may have been a day old or expired. He was desperate to eat when Minho wasn't around. He didn't want to be a burden.
"Eat up sung. Its good." Chan urged. Minho watched the younger intently, realising himself he hadn't seen Jisung eat a meal since getting out of the hospital. Aside for some Ramen he would find the contents of the paper in the waste bin.
Minho began eating his cheese croissant.
"So Minho, what are we gonna do today? Being as its a special day?" Chan mumbled eating his bacon english muffin.
"Oh uhm... We need to get Han clothing." Minho replied quickly.
Jisung finally paid attention to the other two upon hearing his name.
"I... Just go to my house... No need..." He slowly spoke out. Before turning his head to stare back out the window sipping his frappe. Minho had a frown on his face at the youngers words.
"Sung, you look good in what you are wearing by the way. I bet Minho picked it out." Chan changed the conversation quickly.
Jisung nodded.
"He does have an eye for fashion."
"Oh hush you. Blame the family, its all i ever get sent to me." Minho retorted.
"If I had it my way id wear sweats and teeshirts everyday."
Chan scoffed clearly knowing Minho was pulling a rabbit out of his butt with that comment.
"I'll believe it when I see it. You don't dress cheap. Hell your brands are three times the amount myself and My fiance wear combined." Chan spoke.
"Sure sure. Enough about me. Its about Han and getting him clothing. New ones, might I add." Minho fired back.
Jisung just stared wondering we he had gotten himself into. He didn't like this. It was hard to even be out, he wasn't completely recovered but he was 10 times better. In fact, he looked at his calender and the gauze along his neck should be allowed to come off soon.
Jisung hated feeling this way. Burdening the two people who seem to have taken a liking to him.
Jisung sighed as he stared out the window. Seeing the overcasting grey sky and small drizzles of rain coming down.
Great
A storm is coming....
