Minho had woken up before Jisung again. Today of all days were different. His emotions were frozen in time.
I hate days like this.
Minho stared blankley down at his coffee as he leaned against the counter. His eyes trained on the small light swirling bubbles in his cup. They seemed to be entertaining.
Today, was hard for anyone who went through and celebrated their birthday alone. Minhos father had passed away 6 years ago. And he hasn't made any effort to contact whom he called his mother. His mother didn't seem to be affected the way Minho was.
She was remarried 8 months later and had a child on the way and he has a half brother. Minho was totally disposed off.
What made him think today would be any different. He didn't blame the step-brother as he tried to stay in contact as best he could. He liked the younger, maybe the same age as Jisung now.
He let out a small sigh, tearing his eyes away from the entertainment when he saw his phone light up.
Chan?
Of course Chan knew what today was. But it also meant another person knew as well and he was going to absolutely stick to his guns and not seek him out. It would destroy any trust build up he haa with Jiung if he went to find the one person who made his life miserable.
Hyunjin had this way with Minho, but that was before he met Jisung, before he finally had the chance to break free of being controlled, manipulated, used...
"Hello?"
"Happy Birthday MinMin!" Minho pulled the phone away from his ear from the australians piercing scream. This person was an idiot, but at least he was Minhos best friend. The only one he didn't lose.
As stubborn as Minho was, he craved to have friends and connections he could rely on.
"God, its too early for this Chan..." Minho brought the phine back to his ear after he ensured he wasn't going to lose his hearing from the overly active male at 8:30 in the morning.
"But its your Birthday! So we must celebrate! You can bring Jisungie too mate. I was thinking lets go for breaky, then you can decide whats on the list mhmm?" Chan rambled on, Minho sighed rubbing between his already knitted eyebrows.
"Sure, choose the place I'll ask Han if he wants to join." Minho quickly hung up already exhausted just some a 5 minute conversation over the phone.
How am I gonna get through the rest of the day?
Minho set his coffee down, before turning to have the daylights scared outif him.
"Fucking! Geeze!" Minho held his chest, eyeing the boy. His hair disheleved underneath the black hoodie that he seems to have claimed for himself. Jisungs big doe like eyes were being rubbed. He too also jumped from Minhos reaction.
They scared eachother.
"Mhmm... Sorry!" Jisung quickly responded, his hands tightened together. He looked down as if he did something wrong.
He is sensitive to anything loud, it seems.
"No Han, you didn't do anything wrong. I promise! I just got spooked, you're so stealthy. I'm not mad."
Minho patted the youngers head, trying to calm him.
"I know... Are you hungry?" Minho changed the subject, seeing that the younger wasn't responding again. Jisung slowly looked up with a slow nodd.
"What are you hungry for? Chan-hyung wants to go out for 'breakie? Breaky'" minho caught himself copying Chans Austrailian slangs. "He wants to go out for breakfast. Asked if you wanted to join. Nit taking no for an answer, you ain't skipping meals on my watch!"
