Chan, was in the office of the medical wing filing paperwork for Dr. Yuna, of the few people who were trying to get out of classes.
Sending them on their way. Most of the students faking their way through to get passes, and Chan could tell the fakes from the reals. It wasn't his first rodeo.
"Ji Yun, you don't have a broken hand. Just like yesterday you didnt have a broken foot, nore did you have a concussion before that. Go to class!" Chan groaned, and the student simply huffed.
Actually for the most part she consistantly came her to flirt with him, little did she know, he had no interest.
He was taken.
"Chan!" A mellow voice yelled, through the main room, Chan came out of his room groaning.
Never a full moment, he knew it was Minho, though normally Minho being loud like this is because he is stressed but what Chan didn't expect was his friend carrying an individual.
"I have a student, he feinted-" Minho went into overdrive, telling Chan all the details. He hadn't even seen who he brought in until he started setting up a drip.
Watching Minho bring Jisung in warmed Chans heart. Just the thought itself, seeing him frantic giving details about Jisung feinting. It was the first time, in a long time that he witnessed Minho do this for someone.
Jisung was Chans friend. Or more like Chan tried to continue befriending Jisung. His guard constantly up. But he knew the mute for a long time. They went to school together.
He was slowly waking up, he had been out for close to 30 minutes and Chan had worried flood through his face. The dull eyes, the lack of drive and emotion from the younger was unsettling. It was worse because he was refusing to talk with Minho being around.
"Jisung, you can trust Minho. He is my closest friend. Please try to speak." Chan smiled softly at his small frail friend. He hasn't seen him in quite sometime, but he wished Jisung could rely on him more even if it was just a little bit.
"I-..." Jisung was quiet still. Its all he could muster out right now, with Minho around.
"Chan if he isn't fine with me here, I'll leave. Its been a nuisance anyways dealing with this." Minho shot rudely out. Chan could feel Jisung in pain as his friend subtly gripped his chest and pulled at his throat once again and it made his blood boil.
I just told him he could trust you and you call him a nuisance.?
"Minho!" Chan snapped out; it was no wonder Jisung doesn't trust anyone when words like Nuisance penetrates the youngers mind causing him to go into a state of panic. They both watched as Jisung grabbed at his throat strenuously, like he was choking himself or trying to rip it out. The red marks against his throat made Chan quickly pull the youngers hands wrapping them in his own, careful not to construct the IV, His eyes never faltering. Minho shrugged off the antics of Chan before scoffing and taking off from the hospital wing. Chan observed Minho's glance that was directed to Jisung: slight worry filled his expression. Chan knew Minho would never admit that he was truly worried for the younger one, so he decided he would talk to him at another time.
'Jisung, your too beautiful to be crying out like this.'
"Jisung, breathe in..... Then out. Remember our tactics, right? Pant for me okay? Open your throat." Chan calmly said tossing his thoughts of Minho in the back of his mind. His expression becoming serious as he held the youngers hands from trying to reach his throat again. Following Jisungs routine, Chan also widened his mouth and panted like a dog who just finished running to open his airways. As weird as this looked, it benefited Jisung, and helped his breathing regulate again. Doctor Yuna was watching every move and since then she walked away, knowing Chan had this taken care of.
"That's good. Keep doing that..." He soothed out. His face looked strained and softened after a few more moments. The silence quickly filled the air once Jisungs breathing was back to normal, Chan helped Jisung lay back against the bed wiping his forehead of sweat. He could see the blondes breathing was back to normal, his skin looking a lot creamier than it was when he arrived and sweat wasn't coating him either. He documented this on his notepad before tossing his aside to deal with another elephant in the room. Jisungs fluid levels were so low that it began worrying Chan
"Are you eating alright? You're super anemic Ji... This scares me, you may end up with permanent damage if this keeps up." Chan sat on the bed side feeling his forehead. He let a small sigh out. Reaching over for water to get the younger to drink.
"I'm fine... Just a little longer..." the younger mumbled between breaths. Chan knew his words bared more then they lead on but until Jisung was ready to talk to him he left it at that.
"You can also trust Minho" after the words left Chans mouth, Jisungs eyes widened at the thought. Chan wasn't trying to make him panic again, but he could strongly feel those two can help each other.
"I don't trust..." Jisung tried to speak before Chan interjected.
"Minho was worried," Chan tried to reason with the younger, but not making any progress in the slightest.
"No, I can't" he rested his head against the pillow, then sat straight up getting his sweater adjusted then shoving his hands into his pockets. He started shuffling quick, his face draining of color once again. He struggled off the bed, ensuring he wasn't pulling the tubes.
"Where is it..." It came out as more of a statement then a question, he was off the bed, slightly unsteady. Holding himself up as best as he could while grabbing his bag, placing it on the bed pulling out things creating a mess in the hospital wing. With a frustrated silent groan he was holding his arm out. He wanted the fluids removed. Chan sighed. The drip was almosst done but he couldn't deny his patient of wanting it removed.
"Where's what?" Chan mumbled slowly taking the fluid out of his friends' arm. Jisung just shook his head once again another thing he was hiding.
He wasn't going to push it. Jisung bolted out the door shortly after. Letting a long sigh out worried of letting him roam the building. Yuna placed a hand on Chans shoulder as he grabbed it.
"They'll be okay." She spoke softly to Chan.
"I'm still worried for them. I don't know how much longer Jisung has." Chan truthfully spoke as he watch the exit of which Jisung disappeared from moments before, torn between his worry for both of his friends.
"I think with Minho and their recent interaction, this might help save both of them."
Chan looked up at the beautiful red head as she placed a kiss on his cheek, humming in response as she smiled leaving the medical wing once again. Although, she's the main doctor here yet young despite her age. Being only 25 years old, a prodigy in medicine even surpassing those who've studied for years. She co-runs the university medical department.
Also... what makes him prouder, is that she was his fiancé.
He was truly lucky, that Jisung even approved of her. Now Jisung and Chan aren't friends perse, or at least in Jisungs book they aren't. But Chan would do anything for Jisung. He has watched him grow up since he was in middle school with him. It pained Chan seeing Jisung try hard to keep to himself. Chan made the effort to try to make the younger open, to rely on someone other then himself. There were still so many secrets between the two that you'd think they weren't friends at all.
All he could hope was maybe Minho could help him find himself before it was too late to save the younger, in the demons he was facing.
Minho just found out Jisungs biggest secret and he wasn't going to let this go to waste.
