Richard's pov:

-"Bartholomew I have sent you a picture of our guest. Check your emails" I said self -complacency.
-"I have already seen them. Nice job" he said satisfied.
-"I know....." I said proudly and continued "What are we going to do next?"
-"We will continue to take care of him as long as he stays . We don't want to seem unwelcoming to him" Bartholomew said in a sarcastic way.
-"This is a bit risky don't you think?" I said in worry.
-"Don't be such a baby and do as I say ....."
-"Ok then..." I said defeated.
-"And don't forget to send me feedback...."
-"Yes, yes" I said and hung up the phone.

I called two guards and ordered them to go down and continue their "job". I was studying some files when Andrew, my Beta informed me that the Council's Military Adviser was here. That's definitely not good news. Now we are screwed! I hope the boys didn't exaggerate in their work......When Andrew left, the Counselor came immediately inside.

-"Alpha Richard....." the Counselor said as he entered my office.
-"Counselor, what a pleasant surprise! I am so happy to see you again" I exclaimed trying to look collected and cool.
-"This is not a regular visit, Alpha. I came for Alpha Alexander of the Silver Dawn Pack. I want to be informed about his situation and talk to him personally."
-"Of course, of course...But first let me offer you something to drink... You must be very tired."
-"There is no need for this. I am fine. I want to see the prisoner immediately" the Counselor insisted in a strict manner.
-"What's all the rush? He's not going anywhere. He's locked up in the dungeons after all" I said humorously making the Counselor give me a disapproving look.
-"I have an important appointment to attend in the afternoon after I report this matter to my superior....As you can see I don't have time to waste" he said in an arrogant way.
-"Yes...yes I understand..." I said in a trembling voice.
-"So shall we?" the Counselor suggested. I mind linked Andrew to come inside and inform me about a rogue attack or something urgent so I could gain some time....If the Counselor saw Alexander's condition I would be in great trouble. I got up and was walking towards the door when Andrew burst into my office.

-"What's going on Beta?" I said trying to look irritated.
-"Alpha I am sorry to bother you but I have something very important to tell you!"
-"Don't you see I am in the middle of something?" I scolded him.
-"Alpha a rogue attack took place half an hour ago in our northern borders".
-"What? Did we suffer any losses?" I asked trying to look surprised.
-"Two guards were killed while four were injured and are being taken to the hospital as we speak" Andrew said with great conviction.
-"Were there any damages?" I asked again.
-"Fortunately, not any significant"
-"I want an immediate report on our damage while I go down there to inspect the border"
-"Yes Sir....."
-"I am sorry Counselor, I have to go...." I told to the Military Advisor.
-"I understand" he said.
-"I have ordered my omegas to prepare a room for you."
-"It won't be necessary.... but thank you!"
-"Are you leaving so soon?" I asked surprised. I really didn't expect this turn....
-"Not before I see the Alpha of the Silver Dawn Pack" he said determined.
-"Ok. I suggest you getting some rest until I return. I don't know how much time it's gonna take me"
-"Actually, I prefer to come with you. Rogue attacks are one of the top topics on the Council's agenda. I want to see how the packs handle it if it's not a problem for you"
-"Of course not...... it isn't. I will be glad to help you" I told him trying to look comfortable. I immediately mind linked the border guards to prepare a battle scene as fast as they could with a hope he buys it.

As soon as we arrived at the northern borders I calmed down immediately. The setting my boys had created was absolutely stunning: damaged fences, fake rogue prisoners and injured pack members. Everything was perfect! I couldn't do it better myself! Even I was convinced that an attack took place a few hours ago....

We scanned the area and talk with the border guards. Although I told them really late, they were all prepared to face any question arises. As they described the "attack" I realized that they were talking about a previous attack that had taken place a few years ago. It was very clever of them indeed. The Counselor made a few questions. When we finished with the questions and the inspection the Counselor suggested going back and paying a visit to Alexander.
