Bartholomew's pov:

So my little daughter is working with the enemy. What did she think? That I wouldn't know about her activities? I trusted her giving her everything and she betrayed me. Jordan was right all along. Electra is the spitting image of her mother in every way. She is a traitor like her.

All evening I was watching the pack when I saw Alexander accompanied by two guards heading towards my office late at night. I expected Elektra to imprison him or throw him out of the pack, but she did neither.

Alexander stayed for about forty-five minutes in my office and then left just like that. Why did she let him go? He knows that he is the cause of my imprisonment and exhaustion. There is one reason: my daughter is a traitor. But she will soon learn what will happen to those who betray me. First I must pay a visit to the mountains and talk to the elders. They are too old to know about my incarceration and my prison break. I need to know where the holy sword is. I took the trail to their mountain. The trail was hidden and not easily seen, but I knew the mountains like the back of my hand.

It was a fast paced two hour climb. The sun was rising when I reached the small village. The village was built on a plateau at the top of the mountain. The houses were few and small. I headed to the chief's house and knocked on the door. After several minutes and while I heard sounds from inside that indicated that he had already gotten up, the door opened and a short and thin old man appeared.

-"How can I help you, son?" he asked in a hoarse voice.

-"I need your advice and enlightenment on some issues" I said timidly. I had to act like lost. The old ones, although very old, were very intelligent. They could not be easily fooled.

-"Please come in" said the old man ignoring my real identity. He pulled up a chair and said, "Sit here. Would you like a cup of herbal tea?"

-"No, I'm fine! It's urgent to talk to you" I insisted.

-"Don't rush. We have a lot of time, I'm not going anywhere" he said and with slow movements he put the pot on the fire to prepare the tea. He had put in the herbal extracts and was stirring the pot when she addressed me without bothering to turn around: "Don't stand there. Start."

-"My name is Ben and I was sent from the current Alpha of the Black Shadow pack. She wants your advice on something very important"

-"She or you?" asked the man, continuing to stir the pot.

-"I don't understand" I said making an innocent grimace.

-"I know who you are Bartholomew and I can imagine the purpose of your visit"

-"Which is old man?" I asked him calmly and coolly. I'm not one to lose my temper easily.

-"This is of little importance. Our goddess led you here even if your purpose was otherwise..." the man said as he poured the hot water into the cups. Then he put some biscuits on a plate and served the teacups with a jar of honey. He sat down slowly and poured some honey into his cup.

-"Do you want some?" he asked showing me the honey.

-"No" I said irritated. I was tired of his games.

-"Since you came here I feel compelled to tell you some truths"

-"I don't care about your truths old man. Just tell me where the holy sword is hidden..." I demanded.

-"When I finish what I have to say you will learn about the sword" said the old man calmly.

My claws grew longer and I began to shift into my wolf.

-"Careful" commented the old man calmly. "I wouldn't do it if I were you"

-"But you're not" I contradicted.
