Chapter 71 - Upside Down

Alexander's pov:

Elektra's vitals were getting better and better as the days passed. I was always by her side except for the day of Monica's funeral. Back at the pack, Steve made Andros' life really difficult. He was beaten and interrogated. The findings of the inquiry were riveting. It turned out that Andros was an important member of Bartholomew's gang and approached Elektra on Bartholomew's instructions to harm her. When I heard that I got furious. I've had enough of this man's interference in our lives. This bastard continues to bother Electra even though he is imprisoned. He is obsessed with her in a sick way. This must be stopped. I decided to pay a visit to the prison that Bartholomew was.

I left Elektra with Roxane and headed to the prison. I was determined. I would no longer tolerate Bartholomew's interference in our lives. As soon as I arrived, the guards escorted me to the waiting room. After a few minutes, Bartholomew arrived in chains, accompanied by two guards to his left and right.

-"Well, well, well...... The famous Alpha of the Silver Dawn Pack is here. What do I owe the honor to?"

The guards made him sit down and then left the room. We were left alone.

-"I came here to warn you" I said determined.

-"Warn me? For what?" he wondered laughing.

-"Leave Elektra alone...."

-"In case you miss it, I've been in prison for almost a year and a half" he said sarcastically.

-"But you still interfere in her life. Do you know that she's been between life and death for five months now due to your action?"

-"I 'm sorry to hear that, but I had nothing to do with it" he said with a smile.

-"Sure, I can see it" I said sarcastically.

-"She should be more careful with the people she chooses to be with...." he commented.

-"Better say........the people you've sent to harm her" I contradicted angrily.

-"I didn't send anyone....." he denied my accusations.

-"Who do you think you're kidding? You have sent Andros to fool Elektra. He confessed it to us!"

-"That bastard! He can't keep his mouth shut" he said through greeted teeth.

-"Stop meddling in our lives. You will be imprisoned for the rest of your life, so stop bothering us" I yelled at him. My temper was gone minutes ago. I couldn't bear to see him make fun of me in front of my face. After remaining thoughtful for several minutes, he raised his head and looked me straight in the eye. His gaze was full of resentment.

-"I don't care about you, you little brat. If you think that you beat me just because you put me in here, you are wrong. Soon you will pay for your insolence in going against me".

-"Are you threatening me?"

-"Take it any way you like it. You will pay by losing your mate and then your life. Elektra was and will always be mine!"

-"You are delusional if you think that way"

-"I raised, educated and taught her everything she knows. She owes me her life!"

-"You are a sick man. But, rest assured that this time I won't let you hurt her. I swear to our goddess"

-"Ha, ha, ha. Don't make me laugh kid. I managed to harm her once. What makes you thing I won't be able to do it again?" he said smugly.

- "We'll see..." I protested and stood up abruptly. I couldn't be in the same room with him. I knew I wouldn't be able to hold back and attack him. I left the prison more determined than ever. I wasn't going to let him touch not even one strand from her hair.
