Hiccup couldn't believe what had just happened. Astrid Hofferson kissed him, Hiccup Handcook. As he looked into Astrids eyes he saw something he'd never seen before, Love. Hiccup had seen Astrid go through what seemed like 25 boyfriend but never once did she have that look in her eyes. They stood staring into each other's eye longer than they thought. They broke away when Astrids phone rang. "Mom I'm on my way I promise. Ok I understand I'll have my friend drive me there. Ok love you to, bye" Astrid hung up the phone. "Hiccup can I ask you a favor please" Astrid took Hiccups hand in hers so she could ask the question. "Will you please drive me to my mom place and possible stay for the party my mom is having? She knows I'm not with Snotlout but her friends don't so please Hiccup". Hiccup looked her straight in her ocean blue eyes and knew what he had to do. " Anything for you Mi'lady" He said this as he grabbed his bag and keys. They got into his car and Astrid just couldn't take her eyes of Hiccup. He noticed Astrid was starring at him so he took one hand off the wheel and grabbed her hand. "You think your cute Handcook but remember I have a temper and I can hurt you with one hand" Hiccup just smiled as she told him this. After a 20 minute drive they arrived at Astrids house. They got out of the car and walked into the house. Everyone stopped and starred at Hiccup and Astrid. "Why are they starring" Hiccup whispered into Astrids ear. "Well you see they know your not a Jorgenson so they are probably confused" Astrid whispered back. The party went on without a hitch but little did the teens know, a snow storm had come in and blocked off all the roads. "Dad I'm safe don't worry. Yes im with a friend. I'll make sure to thank them. Ok bye dad" Hiccup hung up the phone. Astrid looked up at Hiccup and just had a look of guilt on her face. Hiccup sat beside her on the bed. "I know that look. It's not your fault Ast you need to let it go". Astrid look at him and then the photo on her nightstand. "Hiccup, I've kept this photo all this time hoping I'd finally realize who I belonged with. Hiccup this is MY fault. I knew the storm would come, I knew it would block you in, I knew it was finally going to be my chance to tell you how I feel. The only reason why I started dating all those boys was because I was to shy to tell you what I really wanted." By the time Astrid had finally gotten all this out she had tears streaming down her face. Hiccup went over and wrapped a arm around her to comfort her. "Astrid no matter what, I will always be here for you. I love you no matter what you do or what you have done." Hiccup had told all this to her and all she could do was kiss him. The rest of the night the two teenagers stayed up talking, yet when they did fall asleep it was wrapped in each other's arms.
