By the time the cruise boat redocked the sun was nowhere to be seen giving way to the night. We waited patiently in the back of the line for our turn to exit. Since we were in the very back corner of the deck, we were last to exit the boat. After exiting it we walked together down the ramp and out of the building coming out next to the Han River. The entire time no words were exchanged between us as we strode along the river. That was until Joon broke the silence that we had been comfortably walking in.
"So, uh, do you have any plans after this?"
"I do not, why? Did you want to do something else?" I asked hopeful that he'd want to spend more time together despite my nervousness that he brought out in me.
"Did you want to grab something to eat maybe?" He asked as he slipped his hands into his pockets giving me a cursory almost shy glance as he did.
I smiled to myself as I glanced at the river because it hit me that maybe he too was affected by me as well. Something about that being a possibility put me at ease.
"Sure. But under one condition." I stated looking back at him as we were still walking side by side.
He laughed, "another stipulation?"
"I'm full of them." I returned with teasing grin.
"All right, let's hear it." He smiled.
"Pizza!" I exclaimed.
"Pizza? That is your stipulation?"
I nodded my head excitedly while I watched him tilt his head to and from with his lips pursed like he was debating whether or not he wanted to. I thought maybe he didn't like pizza and I was about to suggest that it was fine if we didn't eat that when he smiled widely head no longer moving in deliberation.
"I think I can handle that."
"Perfect!"
"Did you have a place in mind?"
I came to a stop to think for a moment. I didn't really have a place in mind. I mean there was Fundori that I knew of, but that was a bit of a walk. I was sure there had to be something closer. I thought maybe we could just walk until we found a place that was agreeable to the both of us and said so.
"Why don't we just walk until we come across somewhere? If that is all right with you?"
"Sure. That sounds good to me."
With our goal in mind, we set off once more and walked along the river. We didn't see anything that pulled us in until we came upon a place called Brew 3.14*. By the time we got there we were still heavily entrenched in our conversation about the last books we'd read which were ones we had each suggested to the other. We put the conversation on hold as we walked into Brew 3.14. Joon again held the door open for me before he followed after.
The place wasn't very busy inside unlike the stand-up seating that was out in front of it. There we only a couple people inside which made sense given the nice weather outside even if it were a little cooler now that it was night. I let Joon pick our seats which ended up being the very back of the place. We sat across from each other my back to the wall while he sat with his back to the rest of the place. Despite the table dividing the space between the two of us being face to face with him made me think of earlier on the cruise. I instantly shook off the thought feeling myself start to warm up at it and grabbed a menu to look over. It also gave me an excuse not to have to look at him. Not that I didn't not want to look at him. It was confusing. I pushed that aside too and focused on scanning the menu.
