Chapter 23

Adeline's POV:

Toothbrush in mouth, I popped my head out of my bathroom thinking I heard knocking at my front door. I waited to see if it would happen again. It didn't so I went back to brushing my teeth. Besides, I wasn't expecting anyone. I finished brushing my teeth and turned the water off. As I turned the water off, I heard the knocking again except this time it was louder. I padded over to my front door and was in the process of going on my tip toes to look into the peep hole when I heard Soojin's voice from behind the door.

"I hope you are decent because we are coming in."

I had just enough time to step back from the door as it swung open revealing Jihun, Soojin, and Minkyu.

"Adeline!" They shouted as they all walked in crowding me into a giant group hug.

"What are you guys doing here? Not that I'm not happy to see you." I said as we all untangled from each other.

"We are here to drag your little butt out of this apartment to go celebrate you starting your job on Monday."

"Uh." I looked down at my outfit the same time Soojin looked me up and down. I was already in my pajamas. "Don't judge me okay. I didn't know that I was going to be going anywhere."

Soojin laughed, "come on." 

I was promptly dragged away towards my bedroom by her. I heard Minkyu say that him and Jihun would make themselves at home as we entered my room. I was sat down on my bed while Soojin faced my closet before turning back around to face me. 

"Where are all of your clothes?"

I laughed. "I sent them to my home in the states. Remember I was only allowed one suitcase and a carry-on."

"That's right. I forgot. Okay, where's your suitcase?" She asked. 

I pointed to the corner by the window. She walked over and wheeled it away from the wall and opened it up after she laid it on the floor. As soon as it was open, she started to rummage through it. After a few minutes she sat back on the balls of her feet and looked up at me with a slightly irritated look. 

"You didn't keep one dress outfit to go out in?"

I laughed shrugging my shoulders, "what do you want from me? You know that I dress for comfort above all else." 

She shook her head with a sigh, "still." 

Tsking, she went back to looking through my clothes.

"Are you excited to start your job on Monday?" She asked from below me after a moment.

"Nervous would probably be of a more accurate word."

"Why? It's not like you are going to be working for a multimillion-dollar company. Or, joining one of the most highly anticipated World Tours of the year. Did I mention travelling the world to take pictures of one seven insanely hot talented guys? I don't see what, about any of that, would make you nervous." She said looking up at me with a mischievous grin.

"That's it! You and Torrie are no longer allowed to talk to each other." I said laughing. "I swear she said pretty much the same thing to me earlier today."

"I bet she did." Soojin said as she gathered up the clothes, she selected for me to wear from the floor handing them to me with a grin. "Get dressed and meet me in the bathroom." I began to groan when she cut me off. "I don't want to hear it. You can humor me this one time."
