Torrie's POV:
"Joon?" I questioned in confusion.
Did I hear that right? I looked to Adeline for an answer. However, I realized very quickly I was unlikely to get one from her because her attention was laser focused somewhere behind me. You'd think that would have prompted me to turn around immediately and see what she was focused on, but I didn't because it was her smile that caught me off guard. I only ever saw her smile like that when she was behind a camera, and she definitely wasn't behind one right now. Mild shock gone and replaced with intrigue I turned around following her line of sight a smile on my lips that was ready to tease as I did. But that wasn't what happened. No, my smile disappeared in a flash replaced with my mouth hanging open in utter disbelief.
"No. Freaking. Way." I punctuated each word under my breath.
While my mouth was metaphorically speaking on the floor Adeline was walking past me towards the person that she knew as Joon. I knew him by another name. Two other names in fact. Mouth still popped open I watched Joon meet Adeline halfway a smile that matched Adeline's stretching his face. They quickly dived into a conversation that I couldn't hear being that I was stuck rooted in my spot behind my chair. I closed my eyes. I opened them again. Closed them again rubbing them for good measure before opening them a final time. I mean this just couldn't be happening.
"I have to be mistaken. It can't really be him." I muttered only for myself to hear.
No sooner than the words left my lips did Adeline nod her head in my direction. Wait, is she bringing him over here? Directly after her head nod the two of them started in my direction. Yep, she is bringing him over here. They closed the gap between me and them and as they did, I attempted to reassure myself. It's fine. It's okay. I can handle this no problem. I could feel myself hyperventilating the closer he got to me because there was no mistaking it. It had to be him. Torrie, pull it together, I chastised myself in my head and only finished doing so as they came to a stop in front of me. I looked up. Yeah, up because why was he so tall? Okay brain, focus.
"You, okay?" Adeline nudged me with an elbow.
"Who's not, okay? I'm okay. Are you okay?" I asked her.
"Right!" Adeline drawled out shaking her head. "Joon this is Torrie my best friend. Torrie this is Joon." She introduced us to each other.
I wasn't sure if I should bow, shake his hands, cutesy, get on my knees in adoration. Okay the last thought was a bit extreme. Thankfully I didn't have to decide because he reached a hand forward from the pocket of his jeans to shake my hand. I returned the gesture watching as a smile bent his lips making two dimples pop out one in each cheek. Yep, there was no mistaking it. It was definitely him. I was 100% sure thanks to those dimples.
Now somewhere in the not panicking portion of my brain I knew I was hanging on to his hand longer than was socially acceptable, but I couldn't help it because I was staring. Pictures and videos I'd seen of him were doing him a disservice because they didn't do him justice in the least bit. He was gorgeous. Hot as hell. I bet it is the same with the other members. I was in the middle of pondering the veracity of that thought when he started to chuckle.
"Um, can I have my hand back?"
I let out a nervous laugh as I let his hand go, "my bad."
I could see Adeline looking at me out of the corner of my eye like I'd lost my mind. Little did she know.
"It's nice to meet you." He stated tucking the hand that I'd held onto for too long back into the pocket of his jeans.
"You as well." I returned trying as hard as I could to remain calm as if I had no idea who he really was.
