Chapter 25

Adeline's POV:

I woke up to my alarm and jumped out of my bed and hurried about getting ready to go to Big Hit Entertainment for my first day of work despite still feeling not 100%. After I got out of the shower I got dressed. I wasn't sure what to expect and since they didn't say what the dress attire was, I opted for business casual. I wore navy slacks with a white button up blouse with 3/4 sleeves. I slid on my tan flat slip-ons to complete the outfit. Soojin insisted on heels, but I explained to her that I wanted to live and not die since I was known to trip over my own feet on occasion. Heels were definitely a no go because of that. I heard a knock on my door right before it swung open revealing Jihun as I hauled my suitcase into the living room.

"Good morning!" He said closing the door behind him.

"I bet it is." I said smirking.

He laughed but I could see the slight blush on his cheeks.

I turned around to grab my camera bag when I felt Jihun pull me into a back hug and kiss my cheek. 

"Thank you." He said giving me a squeeze before letting go.

I turned to face him. 

"Of course." I said smiling.

"I'm serious. I honestly don't even know how to thank you."

I smiled and wrapped my arms around his middle hugging him. 

"Just treat her good. Yeah?" I said letting go with a playful slap to his stomach.

"No other way." He said smiling through a laugh. "All right, what do you need me to get?" He asked clapping his hands and rubbing them together.

"If you want to grab my large suitcase, I will get my carry-on and camera bag."

We got everything out of the apartment into the hallway. Everything consisted of my large suitcase, carry-on, and camera bag. I looked back at the open door through it and into the apartment. I hesitated to close the door when I felt Jihun squeeze my shoulder. It was a bittersweet feeling closing the apartment door since it was, as soon as the lock engaged, no longer my home. I felt a pang of sadness when I heard the lock engage. Jihun wrapped and arm around my shoulder and without a word walked up down to the elevator luggage in tow and headed for his apartment on the first floor. We were dropping my stuff of there until I knew which hotel I would be staying at. Once that was done, we made our way to the parking garage and hopped in the car to head to Big Hit. Sooner than I would have wanted, Jihun pulled up in front of Big Hit Entertainment. I looked out the window up at the building. I was excited but nervous.

"You'll be fine." I heard Jihun say from my side. 

"Right!" I said still staring out the window up at the building. 

I took in a shaky breath and opened the door and slipped out of the passenger seat. I turned back around to face Jihun. 

"I'll text you when I am done." 

Jihun nodded and I closed the door turning back around to face the building.

"All right. You can do this Adeline." I told myself as I exhaled.

I straightened my back and walked towards the double glass doors. I pulled on the large silver handle swinging the door open and walked through it into a lobby.

"Hello, how can I help you?" I heard to my right after stepping through the door. 

I turned to see two ladies sitting behind a large desk each with a computer monitor screen in front of them. I walked over toward the desk stopping in front of the woman on the right.
