Chapter 16

"So, what's the plan for today?" Torrie asked from behind me as she lay on my bed while I was at my desk going through some of the photographs I had taken yesterday on my laptop.

"Nothing until later." I stated as I turned to face her.

She sat up on the bed turning her body towards me waiting for me to elaborate. However, I was deep in thought about the photos I had taken having turned back around to stare at the one that was displayed on my laptop screen.

"Do I have to guess?" She asked with a snorted laugh.

"No, sorry." I turned back around to face her once more. "We are free until 8 when we meet up with Jihun, Soojin, and Minkyu. I know that you have already met Jihun, but I really want you to meet Soojin and Minkyu too before you leave."

"Ooh, the official meeting of the bestie from the states and the bestie from here." She said arched eyebrows disappearing up into her bangs.

"Please behave yourself." I deadpanned.

"When have I not behaved myself?"

"Really want me to answer that?"

We stared at each other when Torrie huffed her bangs fluttering from the action.

"Fine, I'll behave myself. Really though, I'm excited to meet them. You know that I've wanted to meet them especially Soojin since she has been taking care of you in my stead."

"Taking care of me in your stead? What am I five?" I spoke as I tackled her back into the bed both laughing.

"Five. I was going to be generous and go with eight." She snickered next to me.

"Forget it." I rolled off of the bed on the side I'd ended up on after tackling her to it. "There is no way I am letting you all meet. I can already see the evening in mayhem and even worse it ends with me being an embarrassed mess."

"Oh, come on." She rolled off her side of the bed. "It will still be so much fun though and you know it." She said with a glint in her eye that only spoke of future mischief.

I sighed, "I am totally gonna regret this. I can feel it."

At just before 8PM we walked through the entrance of Fundoori. As we did, I located Jihun at our usual table our group always sat at when it was available. Jihun gave a wave when he noticed me walk through the door. I nodded my head with a smile as I made my way towards the trio that wait for us Torrie a few paces behind as she followed me.

"Adeline!" Minkyu all but shouted as he left his seat to meet me halfway crushing me in a hug.

"Hey Min, how are you?" I asked returning his hug with just as much gusto.

"Good now that you are here." He spoke as he broke our hug pushing me out in front of him with his hands gripping my shoulders. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever."

It had been a while since I had seen him and Soojin being that my family were visiting. Jihun was an exception being that he lived and worked in the same building as I lived.

"I know, I'm sorry, but I'm here now which is what matters, and I brought a friend with me." I motioned to Torrie behind me.

Minkyu stepped back from me his hands leaving my shoulders with him to look behind me at Torrie.

"Wow, she is even prettier than Jihun said."

I let out a snort.

"You heard that didn't you?"

"Sure did." I smirked.

Minkyu's face reddening in embarrassment. I couldn't help but giggle at the sight.
