Adeline's POV:

Torrie and I rounded the corner walking side by side chatting as we did so. About halfway down the street, we'd rounded the corner from, I spotted our destination. Within minutes Torrie and I stood in front of giant glass paned windows looking up at the sign above them that read: Bonga Nonhyeon Main*

"This is the place." I said with confidence.

"I still haven't gotten over the fact that you speak fluent Korean and now you are telling me you read it to?" Torrie said staring up at the sign.

"Hangul." I spoke.

"Huh?" Torrie said finally looking away from the sign at me perplexed.

"That's what the written form of Korean is called." I explained as I took a few steps forward and pulled the front door to Bonga Nonhyeon Main open.

Not even halfway over the threshold, I was hit with an array of smells that made my mouth water and stomach grumble. Once through the door, I scanned the place looking for Joon who was already here from what his text message said. I spotted him in the very back of the restaurant where he said he would be seated. His back was to us, and he was bobbing his head.

"So, is he meeting us here?" Torrie asked behind me.

"He is already here." I said gesturing with a nod of my head in his direction.

Torrie followed it and spotted Joon who was still bobbing his head in a rhythm.

"Oh, he is just making it too easy." Torrie said deviously rubbing her hands together.

"Don't you dare!" I said grabbing her hands already knowing what her intent was.

"But Adeline, he's just sitting there ripe for the scaring." She whined.

I gave her a pointed look.

"You're no fun you know that." She pouted out.

I just shook my head in response and headed down the aisle towards Joon. As we approached, I saw the white air pod snuggled into his ear. I figured he had been listening to music. I wondered what he was listening to while ignoring Torrie's grumblings of a perfectly wasted opportunity when I tapped him on the shoulder. He looked over just as I slid into the seat across from him. A smile spread across his face.

"Hey!" He greeted as he removed his air pods. "How are you guys?"

My response never left my lips Torrie speaking first.

"Disappointed! You should be thankful she was here to save you." Torrie sat in the seat next to me with a showy huff.

"Um, should I even ask?" Joon grinned.

"No, you shouldn't. And I'm fine Joon." I said the last bit at Torrie.

A server popped up out of nowhere, not giving her a chance to retort, and started placing dishes on the table from a cart I hadn't seen from behind him.

"I hope it is okay that I ordered already." Joon said with a sheepish grin.

"Absolutely because I am knocking on death's door as it is." Torrie said holding her utensils in hand ready to attack the food.

"Why are you so dramatic?" I laughed.

"It's who I am. You know this. You've embraced it. You LOVE IT!" Torrie said the last bit poking me in the side with her chopsticks.

I couldn't help but laugh as I broke my chopsticks apart because she was right. When I looked back up Joon was looking at me with a soft smile.

"What would you two like to drink?" The server asked.
