There's Been A Slight Change In Genre

Chapter 17

During that night, Cale struggled to sleep because he kept feeling like someone was watching him. He wasn't too worried because he had Choi-han there but it still made it hard to sleep, little did he know that the little black dragon was the one watching him and the reason for his lack of sleep that night.

Choi-han was the first one to wake up that morning and was pleased that the first thing he got to see was the beautiful, kind, caring, smart, wonderful redhead, Cale when he woke up.

'I wonder how it is that I'm always on the receiving end, sometimes I really wish I could do better for you Cale-nim.' Choi-han thinks as he caresses Cale's face, moving the fallen bright red hair that seemed to resemble roses off of his beautifully structured face.

'How can a man be so beautiful?' Choi-han wonders as he moves closer to Cale, making sure to not disturb the sleeping kittens.

Choi-han moves a bit to see that it's too early for them to wake up and while doing so, Cale stirring in his sleep as he grabs on Choi-han's shirt which makes Choi-han blush. He rubs Cale's back to help him sleep better which works but now he's a blushing mess due to how close his and Cale's bodies are. Choi-han can't help but hold Cale tightly even though he knows that it's unprofessional.

'I hope that I can one day repay you for all the help you've given me, Cale-nim.' Choi-han thinks as he admires Cale's face for a little longer before he goes back to sleep.

In the morning, Cale feels pretty drowsy since he couldn't sleep as much as he would have liked last night but forces himself out of bed anyway. As his eyes adjust to the brightness of the room, he sees a terrifying Ron with his typical benign smile that makes him feel like he's still sleeping as this is all a terrible nightmare but he knows that it's reality once he takes a sip of that horrid lemon tea Ron always makes him drink.

Ron had seen Choi-han exiting Cale's room and wanted to make sure nothing happened, he still thinks that his son, Beacrox is the best match for Cale. As Ron sees Cale take a sip of the lemon tea that he hates so much, he gets ready to ask about why Choi-han was in his room as a murderous aura starts to surrounds him.

"So I happened to see Choi-han exiting this room, young master." Ron says as he sees Cale finish the rest of the lemon tea in one gulp.

"Yeah, he came in here earlier." Cale says as Ron takes the empty teacup back. Cale could feel the murderous aura coming from Ron.

"And what business did Choi-han have here?" Ron says as he feels the urge to chop Choi-han's body into pieces and bake it into Beacrox's and Cale's wedding cake.

"He asked to sleep in my room tonight and I let him since he helped me get to bed while I was drunk." Cale feels the murderous aura around Ron intensifiy as he says his answer.

"I see, I'll be taking my leave now." Ron says as he leaves the room, Cale lets out a sigh of relief as he does. Cale doesn't understand why Ron was interrogating him all of a sudden but he decides to brush it off since he's too lazy to look into it.

Cale got back into the carriage with the kittens in his arms, Hans was begging him to let him groom the kittens all morning so Cale felt drained when he entered the carriage. He felt his eyelids get heavy and before he knew it, he was asleep.

They're next destination is Puzzle City. Hans has been talking about these rock towers that apparently grant wishes which excite the kittens. When they were on the streets, they never got to wish so now that they have got a new father figure to take care of them, they want to make sure it will last forever. Hong looks up at a sleeping Cale and On before snuggling up closer to them, he's happy that they're not on the streets and that his sister can finally rest easy.

Once they got to Puzzle City, the kittens were informed that the rock towers actually don't grant wishes and are there to remind the people of they're independence. Cale figured that he might as well get the kittens something as a reward for helping him free the dragon.

"Hey Choi-han!" Cale figured that he should bring Choi-han along since he would have to leave for a short period of time to get another ancient power and so Ron won't complain about how he might get kidnapped or something.

When Choi-han hears his voice be called out by Cale, he immediately turns his head to face him. It's pretty obvious that Choi-han is willing to do anything as long as Cale is happy, Choi-han sees Cale walk to his side with the kittens following after him.

"Yes Cale-nim, what do you need?" Choi-han says as he sees Cale fix his messed up hair from when he walked over to him.

'Even with messy hair Cale-nim looks beautiful.' Choi-han thinks after getting a glimpse of a messy haired Cale. Cale didn't get why Choi-han looked as if he had been bewitched by a beautiful Goddess, he decided to just brush it off as a main character thing.

"So can you accompany me and the kittens around town? Hans lied about some wish-granting rock towers and they're pretty sad about it so I'm taking them into town." Cale says as he directs the kittens inside the inn they're staying in to change their clothes.

"Of course Cale-nim! I'd love to!" Choi-han says with stars in his eyes. Choi-han starts to get lost in thought while admiring Cale, all he can think about is how beautiful Cale is.

Cale's bright red hair that can out-shine even the prettiest of roses, his dark brown eyes that you can get lost in forever, and even his slender fingers are beautiful. Cale's not just beautiful on the outside just also beautiful on the inside, he;s kind, caring, smart, talented, and generous. Cale is the most kind-hearted person Choi-han knows, so much so that before he knew it, he fell in love with him. He knows that it's shameful but how can anyone not fall for this beautiful man, even if Choi-han doesn't like it, Cale is so beautiful that just one interaction with him and anyone can fall in love with him, well unless their some sort of sicko that not even Cale's beautiful heart can touch them.

"Hey Choi-han! Do I have something on my face or something? You're practically staring holes into my head with how much you're staring!" Cale can feel Choi-han's eyes drilling a hole into him and after a while, it starts to creep him out. Cale snapped his fingers in front of Choi-han's face to get him out of whatever trance he was in.

"Ah! Sorry Cale-nim, I didn't notice I was staring!" Choi-han says after he realizes he was spacing out while looking at Cale.

"We're ready!" On and Hong says as they get out of the inn.

On had her hair straightened and with a ribbon on a small ponytail while the rest of her hair was down. She was wearing a white button up shirt with long sleeves with a dark blue vest and a little red ribbon tied loosely around the shirt collar, she also had on dark blue pants to match the vest.

Hong was wearing just a white button up shirt with short sleeves and light brown vest and shorts. His hair was still messy but looked more neat and well kept.

Cale was happy with the improvements with the kids, from living on the streets and wearing rags to living with Cale and now being able to buy anything they want. He wanted to make sure these children can always be seen with a bright smile on their faces though he would never admit that.

"Alright, let's go to town." Cale says as he thinks about what shops to visit.

"What are we going to do in town?" On says as she tilts her head in confusion. Though she wasn't informed about going anywhere, she figured that they would be since Cale had them get dressed.

"Yes, you can buy whatever you want there." Cale says as he sees the children's eyes light up, he felt a warm feeling when he saw On and Hong's happy faces and their bright smiles.

When he was a child, he was never presented with such opportunities so he can understand the happiness that the kids have on their face and it kind of made him wonder if that's how a father feels when he sees his kids wearing the same expression as On and Hong.

"Can we really Buy anything we want?" Hong asks with stars in his eyes.

"Yes, you can buy whatever you want!" Cale says as he flashes a smile.

"Yay!" Both the kids yell in excitement as they give a quick hug to Cale.
