Chapter 14

The carriage leaves the Hentiuse estate once Hans finally comes back with the kittens after grooming them, at this point the kittens were looking more well kept than Hans himself. Cale just forces Hans out of the carriage since he didn't want the kittens to feel uncomfortable.

After a while of riding the carriage, Cale soon falls asleep as the kittens curl up against him on both his left and right side. On feels a sense of warmth, she feels like she really has a family and she feels like a load has been lifted off her, she doesn't have to constantly worry about whether or not her and her brother could eat or worry about being beaten by the thugs on their alleyway. Now they have a warm place to sleep and good food to eat. On looks at Cale lazily, she hopes that this will never end.

The carriage suddenly comes to a stop and it wakes the kittens up and they nudge Cale to wake him up. As Cale exits the carriage, he is met with the sight of an old man who has stumbled on the road and is being scolded by none other than Venion Stan. Cale flinches when he notices Choi-han's blood lust and tries to calm him down first since he really doesn't want to die.

"Calm down, if you beat him up now then it will only backfire on us." Cale says calmly as he puts a hand on Choi-han's shoulder. If they beat Venion up now then he can cause a lot of problems in the future so Cale plans to ruin him in a different way. Venion has a little secret that no one knows about, he has a baby dragon who should be about 4 years old now, locked up and has been torturing them ever since they hatched.

'Sick bastard, I'll be sure to make you suffer.' Cale thinks as he notices a little bit of blood left on Venion.

"But we can't just let him off the hook, he'd be going on without any consequences!" Choi-han says as he takes the hand Cale had put on his shoulder in both of his. Cale is surprised by this action but he doesn't let it show, instead he continues to calm Choi-han down.

"Don't worry, that bastard will probably be kicked out of his home after being socially destroyed!" Cale says with his scammer smile. There's no way that he would let Venion roam around freely because if he does then the dragon he's torturing will go berserk and destroy everything. In 'Birth of the Hero' Choi-han ends up killing the dragon but Cale won't let this happen, it would mess with his slacker life!

"Cale-nim..." Choi-han looks at Cale with a deep red blush on his face though he is still confused about what Cale means.

Cale knows that he unfortunately has to greet him since he is still a noble after all. Cale gulps as he realizes that he has no alcohol to make this easier. He walks up to the psycho bastard that is Venion Stan.

"Why hello there Venion!" Cale knows that he doesn't have to worry about having a conversation with him since he's trash and no one wants to converse with trash.

"Yes hello Cale Henituse." Venion says politely though he's extremely annoyed that he now has to converse with trash.

'Holy shit! This guy is even scarier than Ron, at least he does torture innoect creatures.' Cale thinks as shivers go down his spine.

After the quick greeting, Cale and Venion shake hands and part ways. Cale lets out a sigh of relief because he doesn't need to talk with Venion anymore. Cale then goes to the old man from earlier and engages in a conversation with him.

"Know any bars around here?" Cale says calmly although he is still shaken up by Venion.

"Ah Yes! I actually own a bar, you can stay there to rest as well though it's a little shabby compared to nobles tastes." The old man says as a reply. He's a little surprised that Cale is acting so calm after talking to a man who can't even spare any sympathy for an old person.

"Great, please lead the way then." Cale says, he really needs a drink after talking to that sick bastard.

When they get to the bar, Cale drinks a lot and asks Choi-han to help him to his room. Choi-han of course agrees since he would do anything to repay Cale for all that he's done for him.

Once they get to the room, Cale does a 180 and acts sober again much to Choi-han's surprise.

"Put this on!" Cale says as throws some clothes to Choi-han.

"What are we doing?" Choi-han asks with a confused look on his face.

"I'll explain on the way!" Cale says as he grabs his own clothes, leaving Choi-han to simply just trust him, which isn't as hard as it sounds.
