Monstercat was dropped onto a metallic rainbow-colored roadway. "Varien, what the h*ll is this?" he asked. "Do I have to say it?" Monstercat would've rolled his eyes, if he had had any. "Yeah. It's a rainbow colored road. What?" "Yes. Just follow it, it'll lead to the exit portal."

They started walking. "How long is this thing, anyways?" Monstercat asked. "As long as it needs to be." Monstercat sighed. Varien was the king of Vague Answers(puppet). For all he knew, this damn road could be a million miles long. Probably not, but even a thousand miles long would be a bit too long for him.

Protostar(shut up, he's fun to write) looked around at the world around them. From what he'd gathered from the other artists they had to follow this road that was floating over an endless void until they found the exit portal. It sounded simple enough, and according to Varien, this place had no natural enemies in it. Perhaps a little too simple(this line is here just for puns).

That meant he could look forward to about an hour's worth of just walking, and staring at the star-like shapes in what appeared to be the sky around them. So, in other words, boring. Then again, it was a nice break from all the fast-paced running away and fighting from earlier.

Rogue and Nightmare were bringing up the rear of the group. Rogue dropped off of his horse's back, and Nightmare dissolved into shadows. No use having him around now, Rogue thought to himself. This place was almost beautiful, until you remembered that this rainbow-colored road was the only thing between you and slow, painful death.

The Void was a legend that Rogue had heard plenty of times. An endless pit that just kept going down. Impossible? Maybe, but then again, they had blown up a planet and fallen through a portal to another dimension and then fought a giant black hydra, so Rogue was pretty sure that not much could surprise him now. (He was wrong, but that's coming later.)

Tristam had ended up next to Rogue, but both of them had almost nothing to say. Nothing to say, that is, until the entire road bent itself into a funnel, and dropped them into a swirling vortex of colors that probably would've given most people a seizure. "Sooo, is this supposed to happen?" Tristam asked Varien, who was falling next to them. "Yes. In a few minutes, we will arrive at the portal. The only advice I can give you, is sit back and enjoy. Or don't enjoy. Whichever works for you."

Tristam looked around for Braken, wondering if the portal had messed with him again. "Hey, Tristam, I'm back to normal, sort of..." He turned, to see Braken falling behind him. She was now a he, and had lost the wings, but beyond that, looked exactly the same. "Nice!-" Tristam was interrupted by Monstercat. "So, I've been meaning to tell you this for a while, but, umm, yeah, the place we're going, you see, has a bit of a connection with our world, got it?"

"Soooo....all of us have....counterparts, in the, quote "real w(o)rld", so to speak. Basically, us with a few changes." There was dead silence. "Hey, that means if Braken was still a chick he might've been able to date himself!" Muzzy joked. Most of the group glared at him. ".....sorry?" Monstercat cleared his throat. "In any case, just prepare yourself for the worst. I don't know what we're going to find there, but better safe(and sound) than sorry."

Laszlo watched as the portal loomed closer and closer, until the giant white glowing circle consumed his entire vision. The light was blinding, and he had to shield his eyes from the brightness. When it faded again, he was in a place with a bright blue sky and white puffy clouds.

He was also over a thousand feet up in the air. Again.
