Monstercat led the group out of the sewers, and to the forest outside of whatever city they had landed in. After the group assembled, Monstercat cleared his throat. He had some other news to break, and this time, it wasn't as simple as 'You have a counterpart.' This time, it was quite a bit worse.
"Varien and I have been studying the fluctuations of our two worlds, and if we are correct, this could mean that our world, and the 'real world' are merging." There was dead silence.
"Hey, well at least we don't have to go back to our world to fight that hydra guy!" Muzzy chipped in. "Wait, that's the problem isn't it?" Varien nodded. "Yes. The merge should take place in five year's time. For now, we've determined that it's best that we build up our strength here before moving on the hydra."
"Additionally, there is the slight issue that the merge will wipe out most of humanity." Laura spoke up. "If we warn the humans-" Muzzy rolled his eyes. "Yeah, right. Why should they believe a freak who comes up to them and goes all: "Hey! I'm from another dimension composed entirely of electronic music and our world is merging with yours, and it's going to kill a lot of you, so RUN(AWAY FROM ME!) FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!" That's sooooooo going to work." Danyka sighed. "As much as I hate to agree with Muzzy, he does have a point. None of us could easily convince people to do that."
"Correct. And there is the additional problem that we don't know which parts of our world and this one will merge." Varien added. "Add that to the mix, and even if they did listen, we could accidentally send them to their deaths. And then there's the issue of the fact that time passes differently in our world. Two(thirds) and a half years there was around 13.7 billion years here."
It was as if one problem after another was being added to the already large pile of problems. Monstercat reviewed the scenario in his head. "One of us should remain here...Varien, since you're the only one of us who can communicate across dimensions, you'll stay here and keep us informed on what's going on(Droptek) in this world. We should split up to try and keep the whole 'other dimension' thing as quiet as possible."
"After six months, return to this area. We'll open a temporary gate to our world here. Hellberg?" "Got that covered." "Good. I'll talk about it more when the time comes. And I guess, for now, it's goodbye...." It was saddening to see a group of remarkable people(Avengers reference for those who get(up, #punception, hellberg) it) who had held together for so long finally break apart and go their separate ways. Monstercat sighed as he watched people hug each other goodbye, and gradually walk away into the unknown.
Monstercat himself slipped away quietly into the forest. Leaping gracefully from tree to tree, he almost felt like he was back in the rainforests his species' home planet of Planet Monstercat. He wanted to get away without too much commotion, for psychological reasons(project 46), and because he had a limited time to pursue another goal.
Monstercat had his own agenda, that was his main reason(s I will make the same pun again, because.......ummmmm.....forget it. That song is awesome) for making a detour to the real world. Sure, there was the whole 'merge' thing, the 'build up your strength and train' thing, the 'escape(PIXL)' thing, and the 'counterpart' thing, but there was another, much deeper need for Monstercat to go to Earth.
And that would involve a few certain people attending a school known as 'Monstercat High'.
